- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We take in all the relevant variables of your project and use our pricing calculator to generate an initial estimate. These estimates are generated from a mix of proprietary data and local rates and give you a highly accurate range to help you budget and set expectations— that means no low balls or hidden fees. Then we’ll tailor that initial estimate based on additional details provided to a planner during a free consultation. Thanks to our relationship with our contractors and vendors, we’re able to offer industry rates for many of our materials and labor fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each homeowner will go through our digital renovation planner to get an initial estimate. This will let you put in all your relevant project information and get an initial sense of what your remodel might cost. Then you’ll be connected to a Block Planner for a free consultation, where they will go over your project details, tweak your estimate, and set up a proposed project timeline. Based on the scope of the project you want, you’ll then be given a chance to work with a designer or go straight to build using a design curated by our award winning team of designers.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As part of the Block process, we match you with a trusted, vetted local contractor. We’ve selected partners who uphold our rigorous construction standards and understand the unique factors of their neighborhoods, such as local regulation and management company relationships.
