I've been practicing yoga for years, but gyms and anything cardio were foreign concepts to me. I'd been looking to branch out of my comfort and push myself a bit, but I knew I needed someone to show me the way and hold me accountable. Enter Will. I've only been working out with him for a few weeks now, so I can't quite comment on results. But Will has a well-rounded set of traits that make him a great personal trainer. He is energetic and motivating without being a drill sergeant. He pushes me but also senses when to give me a bit more of a rest. He listens (so incredibly important), adapting exercises to suit my specific limitations and pacing things accordingly. Most important, he emphasizes form above all else, and is conscientious about preventing injuries. Best of all, he does all this in the comfort of my own home, arriving chipper and bright-eyed at 6am. A handful of sessions in, I am surprised that I don't find working out to be as much of a drag as I'd expected, and I accredit that to Will.
It has been almost 6 months and counting since I started working with Ross as my trainer and I am still just as enthusiastic about my workouts and working with Ross. I am a 41 year old, working mother of two and I have not been in this good of shape since I was on the swim team in high school. I have worked with four different trainers over the past two years now and Ross is by far the best. When I started with Ross, I didn't have any specific goals or even a strong drive to make any major changes, but he subtly helped me develop goals and before I even knew it, I was suddenly super motivated to accomplish them! I've gone down 2 sizes and I feel so healthy and strong. He even motivated me to start exercising outside of our training time, which is great! The best part about working with Ross is that he doesn't make it feel like work. He always working different muscle groups and changing up the exercises I do. Every workout there is some new challenge or variation that I haven't tried before. Further, he was able to sense the kinds of exercises I like and don't like and he tailors the workout accordingly, while still being sure to work all muscle groups. He is exceptionally good at reading you during the workout to maximize the benefit from each exercise. Other trainers I have had would say, "Do 10 of this."; Ross tells you to start an exercise and he watches you closely and tells you to stop when you start to fatigue and just before your form starts to falter. This is actually a better way to exercise because it not based on an arbitrary number, but rather works the muscle to it's limit. Ross is great about checking form to make sure that you don't hurt yourself. He is careful not to give someone exercises that they cannot handle yet, or that need perfect form to execute without injury. I've had other trainers push me into lifting heavy weights over my head and I ended up hurting my back multiple times. On a personal note, Ross is a wonderful guy. He is a lot of fun to talk to and that makes the workouts go by so fast! I'm often disappointed when my time is up. So different from a cardio workout where I am counting the minutes until it is over! For anyone wanting to get in shape and feel healthy and strong, I cannot recommend working with Ross enough. I have done all kinds of cardio workouts for years (running, kickboxing, spin, etc) but it wasn't until I started building muscle that I really felt better and noticed a positive difference in my body. I can tell that I have truly changed my metabolism in the past 6 months. Now I look back and wonder why I didn't do this years ago. How could I have let myself get so fat? (Spoiler alert: answer = children) Honestly, in the end it was a pretty easy solution. All it took was a few hours a week, lots of new Lululemon clothes and one amazing trainer!! He has had a direct, very positive impact on my life and I cannot thank him enough!!
The Mandeville Method is like no other program I've tried it encompasses all aspects of training from strength conditioning and cardio. I've tried other programs that don't have a more complete program. If all around fitness and well being is your goal The Mandeville Method is worth a look
I worked with Ryan for two months, during which time he helped me transform from 'skinny fat' to fit! I'm now 32, and I have not felt this good in a bathing suit since high school. Through coaching me on healthy eating and a combination of weight training and cardio, Ryan finally helped me gain strength and lose the bulk or my back and stomach fat (other areas too, but those were my biggest problem areas), which had been slowing increasing for years. I also benefitted immensely from Ryan's PT background in ways I didn't even anticipate. Working with someone who truly understands the body's mechanisms made a tremendous difference for me, as Ryan was able to help me safely work around an injury I sustained unrelated to training, and get me back to 100%. I would definitely still be contending with this injury were it not for Ryan's guidance and expertise. I started with Ryan admittedly just wanting to look better, and came away not only having accomplished that, but feeling a million times better as well. Most importantly, Ryan is committed to my success not only while training with him, but for the long term. My only regret is not doing this sooner. It's an investment, but one that will pay big dividends provided you're committed to putting in the work. This has really changed my life. Thanks for everything, Ryan!!
I hired Dana as a trainer to design some workout programs for me. She asked me what my specific fitness goals were and also inquired about my current routine and diet. I had 3 sessions with her so far and have been very impressed with her experience in the gym and knowledge of muscle groups and the effectiveness of isolating certain areas through proper movements/excercises. Dana is an patient teacher and encourages you to push yourself to see results, which is what I was looking for. Dana also provided some helpful tips for increasing my cardio and my diet. As a mom, she understands time constraints with work outs and food planning, which was helpful. I have been using her programs for a couple months and feel stronger, healthier and see definition in my body, which is what I was trying to achieve. I was impressed with her experience and knowledge in the area of fitness and the human body and how attentive she is to her clients needs. Look forward to future fitness planning with Dana. :)
Jim helped me feel confidant and healthy for my summer wedding! I am an exercise obsessed 27 year old. When I came to Jim I was bored of my routine and looking for an extra push to feel my best for my upcoming wedding. Jim taught me a new skill set using weights and interval cardio training. I have been working with Slava for almost two months and have already notices significant changes in my strength, cardio abilities and my attitude. I started working with Chad almost a year ago because I was struggling to transition from the power lifting workouts I did as a college athlete to more "normal" workouts. I knew that I wanted to get into better shape cardiovascularly and lose some of the bulky muscle I put on in college. Chad worked with me to develop a program that incorporated high intensity cardio along with more toning strength exercises. He's really helped me refine my workouts to what really works for me!

I started training with Jay in May 2014, what I thought would be a one month jump start has lasted a year and half. Jay is attentive to what each client needs, what their limits are, and how far he can push them. Having had a serious reconstructive surgery on my hip I needed to have a trainer who would not only listen to my needs but not be afraid to talk to another professional when we needed to work around my limitations. He encourages and motivates me to do better, and yet he knows how much I am capable of. During the last year and a half I have been challenged and pushed by Jay and the gains I have made in strength, balance and cardio fitness are incredible. He is very professional, really knows his stuff, and changes up the programs to keep me engaged with new challenges. Although it was my own determination to improve my fitness it was Jays programs and workouts that got me to where I am today. Jays the real deal who genuinely wants to help people get fit in an industry full of wannabees, mix in your own determination and its the perfect recipe for success.
I am only a week in with working with Jeremy and have already felt a difference. The most impressive change I have noticed are my habits. Instead of sitting on the couch for hours on end and snacking, I will get up, do some cardio, eat some dinner and watch ONE episode of my favorite show. I also have had much more energy where getting up in the morning doesn't seem like an impossible task. Although I am probably in the worst shape of my life right now, I am excited to get "it back." Brandon Montella is a dedicated motivator and trainer. I have looked forward to every training session I have ever scheduled with him. I met Brandon in a Punches boxing cardio class at MG Fitness in Medford, MA. I wanted to do something to help me keep some weight off that I had lost through traditional dieting. I was immediately hooked. Brandon makes every Punches class as well as his one on one personal training sessions fun & exciting. I am always learning new things, trying new excercises, and pushing myself to my fullest potential. It is so much more than just going to the gym and lifting weights.
