Introduction: Hey y'all my name is Simone. I have been designing, sewing, and thrifting for 8 years now. In this time I have styled myself/family/friends/coworkers, created custom garments, and so much more. I was blessed with a creative mind, seamstress skills, and a way with people. About a year ago I decided to put these talents to use and launched my brand "SewMone"... My brand philosophy is "forget fitting a mold; be YOU and make your own". 3 women can all own the same pair of jeans, but each pair can be worn entirely different-reasons ranging from body type to personality-yet each style makes the individual wearing it feel confident in themselves! I was in Boston for a week visiting my girlfriend for New Years Eve, and sewmone styled me for the week. I’m from Texas so I wasn’t used to the cold which is why I wanted a stylist to help me find cute cold weather stuff. Anyway I was very happy with the outcome. I felt very beautiful and confident in the outfits.

While scrolling through on my Instagram, I saw this yellow velvet body con dress and I wanted my prom dress the same color, same velvet fabric, I knew it wouldn’t be easy to find the specific one I wanted so when I talked to SewMone about it she said she’d find it and it didn’t take her long to do so. I told her exactly how I wanted my prom dress, I showed her pictures of how I wanted the sleeves, the top, bottom and my dress came out so beautiful and just how I imagined it. She’s amazing to work with, her professionalism is great, she’ll make sure you get the exact work you ask for.

Pricing is based upon the service, I discuss the price breakdown with all clients individually.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process usually begins by the client describing what service they need (alteration, custom design, etc). We then will plan an initial appointment which entails us going over the project, taking measurements, and or finalizing design.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught seamstress/designer. I have been creating clothes, styling, and doing alterations for myself and others for about 5 years now. I enjoy educating myself through doing, I use books and other resources as aides.
