Laura helped us with most of the shared spaces in our home back in 2013-2015. We have been enjoying them tremendously, and basking in the compliments when our friends and family come over. Her style and approach are exactly what we wanted in a designer, and she gave us a cohesive result at a very affordable price. We could never have achieved this outcome by buying "off the rack," or even custom ordering pieces from moderate-range furniture showrooms in our area. Working with Laura has been one of the best experiences of my life. Her style is timeless and classic using exquisite fabrics and unique furniture finds. And she is fun to work with! Her enthusiasm is boundless. She truly loves making her clients happy. We've recommended Laura to many family and friends as well! Fast forward to 2016, we've called Laura back to work on our master bedroom, office, and guest room to par with the rest of our home. Joanne Dayville, CT
I worked with Elizabeth after we purchased an 1835 house in an historic district. Some minor repairs were needed, plus a complete repainting of the interior. Elizabeth has a great color sense and the workmen, no - craftspeople - that she provided were fantastic. They all did an outstanding job and Elizabeth supervised them thoroughly with great attention to the tiniest detail. She also had some creative ideas for dealing with the quirks of an old house. Since our means were limited and we like old things, our plan from the beginning was to furnish with vintage pieces from Craigslist & Ebay and antiques from auctions. This caused us to be rejected by other decorators ("We do a lot of ordering," one told me). Elizabeth was completely comfortable with our approach and had many suggestions for sources we were unaware of. She also passed on to us all of the decorator's discounts that she received, which were a huge help. Her rates were very reasonable and she was very clear about her work plan and billing. Elizabeth was very enjoyable to work with - the perfect person for a project like ours.
Lina did a great job offering full service solutions for our kitchen and dining room remodeling. At the 2nd meeting she had prepared detailed, professionally produced schematics and diagrams showing how the rooms would look. She also provided excellent brochures for fixtures, flooring, and lighting. My wife and I were thrilled with the outcome and would highly recommend Lina for any interior home projects requiring the services of a design architect.
This was my second project working with Michele from Moving Made EZ and the end results of job far exceeded anything I could have ever imagined!!!! Michele helped me renovate our first restaurant location, and we are constantly getting comment about how beautiful the atmosphere is from our customers. This second location was definitely a challenge. The interior resembled something out of a 1959 cowboy movie. It hadn't been cleaned in what looked like 20 years. It was quite an undertaking, and I was overwhelmed. I called Michele and she immediately met me onsite. After discussing our goal to bring this restaurant back to life, our 7 month journey together was not an easy one. Starting with complete painting of interior and exterior surfaces, Michele's expertise of paint color was on point. Beautiful tones of gold and greys permeate throughout, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We reupholstered all the booths with beautiful fabrics that Michelle tirelessly shopped for, making sure we had the perfect durable material that would uphold in a very busy restaurant. Her floor recommendation was perfect, a black hardwood commercial product that absorbs noise in keeping a quieter, more enjoyable atmosphere for dining guests. We added light sconces, chandeliers and other fixtures to brighten up the whole restaurant, which she found on the internet at an amazing price, along with many other items, way too many to mention on this review. Her recommendation for window treatments were perfect, and her choice of decorative pictures for our bar area were wonderful. She created a beautiful focal point in the main dining room with a magnificent faux stone wall the she recommended, along with a recessed electric fireplace in the center of the wall. It is just gorgeous. Our biggest challenge was how to decorate our newly constructed bar. Her first recommendation came up very expensive and over budget, but after many hours of brainstorming, she came up with a brilliant and affordable solution. We painted together, shopped together, and she listened to my ideas which is one reason why I really enjoy working with Michele. Her attention to detail is one that makes her really stand out, and it is the smallest details that can make the biggest difference in a designing project. The end result, as I earlier stated, is one that leaves our customers in shock as they enter our new restaurant and remember the previous location. It is with sincere appreciation that I have for Michele that I would recommend her for any designing project you have, whether a business, a home, a vacation spot, a store front or any other project you encounter.
I am a builder in Westminster MA. I had a new house that refused to sell. It was priced well but had been listed for 18 months . That was a first for me. We had had 3 open houses at various stages of construction. I found Sue online through thumbtack. Her response was instant . I sent her photos and we agreed on a fair Price and got together later that day on site. I had no idea if this would help or not. She explained what she would do and I did not to interfere with her ideas. I let her do her own thing. She did it all. From landscaping suggestions that i followed up on to pillows, flowers ,mirrors and rubber duckies in the bathroom. I was skeptical but it looked nice. Well It more than worked. The house transformed into a home folks would want to live in. She added lots of nice little touches that created the warmth and the "I want to be lived in look". We had an open house and got 2 offers that day. " I was a believer" Staging works!!. Suemac Design works!! Already reccomendationded her to other folks. Will use her again. The buyers have changed. They have been spoiled by HGTV. Their expectations are different. Thanks Sue!! Gordon and Jeanne Martin of "Breaking New Ground.
I offer interior decorating services, specializing in real estate home staging, the art of preparing a home for sale, ideally prior to listing it. Studies have shown that staged homes sell more quickly and for more money than unstaged homes. The return on investment is typically two to three times (and often five times) the cost of staging and definitely much less than the first price reduction. In today's economy and real estate market, with inventory low, I will stand out above your competition and stage your home for maximum results. A home staged by Serenity Designs just sold in December 2013 for more than $26,000 asking price in Arlington, MA! When I see my clients' faces and reactions after staging their house, they are always amazed at the results, especially at the open house when they get that first offer! It is so satisfying to see that all their hard work and commitment to the staging process was worth it, and that I was able to be a part of it.
Vicky started a project to just help me furnish my bedroom. Her talent and work ethic was so impressive that I expanded the project to include the rest of my house. She guided me through getting out of my comfort zone for a few pieces but also listened when I had reservations. The result is a very modern decor that is functional and comfortable, especially with a toddler in our home. I get compliments from guests all the time. She also knows when it's ok to splurge and when to bargain hunt to make sure you stay within budget. She will be doing my kitchen next and I cannot wait to see what ideas she has for it. Hire her, best decision I've ever made!

I have always been passionate about textiles, color and style. At a very young age, I had the privilege of working with my father who was a master tailor. Through his skillful instruction, I learned how to make patterns and craftsmanship. Having studied at the school of fashion in Boston and having been involved in drapery pattern development and construction for over four years, I started my own custom window treatment business in 1998. In the tradition begun by my father, it is with a great sense of pride that I guide my clients to develop a unique vision that complements their lifestyle and individual taste.
