Piano Lessons
Julian is a consummate professional and very talented teacher. As a beginner, I especially appreciate how he is able to make classical piano concepts digestible and easy to understand. He also gives interesting historical background related to how certain facets of classical music have developed over the centuries. In this way his class has been a comprehensive lesson on technique, theory and history that I believe would be of great value to any student. I also appreciate his flexibility with scheduling and the ease of getting to his studio.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Because I travel to my clients' homes, prices may vary depending on travel and schedule availability. However, my prices for lessons themselves are always consistent: a half hour lesson costs $30, and an hour costs $50.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always make sure to understand my students' particular strengths as a musician, as well as potential areas of growth. If my students are new to musical study, we begin with the basics and move forward from there in gradual steps. If they have already been playing for a long time, we work through their repertoire and establish goals moving forward.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been teaching children of all ages in an educational context for over ten years in a variety of capacities, including private lessons, as well as teaching experience in elementary, middle, and high school settings. I recently received my Master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music.
