Introduction: I am a piano and violin instructor available on the South Shore. I teach out of my studio, but am also willing to travel to your home.
I have been teaching for several years and am a graduate of Berklee College of Music. I also incorporate theory, harmony, and improvisation into the lessons.
I teach classical, rock, pop, jazz and alternative styles for the piano. I also encourage adults to take lessons if you are interested as well, you are never too old to learn an instrument! Jodi has been teaching my daughters piano for the past couple years. She is dependable, friendly, trustworthy, encouraging, patient, kind, and willing to let her students choose what interests them once they've acquired the basic skills to branch out a bit. Jodi is great about adapting her teaching techniques depending on the student's age (we have a range of ages amongst our children). Their music-reading skills have already benefitted them in school and extracurricular classes.

Jodi Griffith is an excellent, in-home piano teacher! She is professional, always on time for weekly lessons, flexible with our schedule and very responsive on text, which I appreciate. She is super patient with my two young children who are learning to play and always thinks of creative ways for my children to conceptualize notes and understand rhythm. We will continue to work with Jodi for years to come.

Jodi has been teaching piano lessons in my home to my three children for over two years and we couldn't be happier. She has an easy way with the children, they have learned a great deal of theory, they play very well and they LOVE to play. I highly recommend Jodi Griffith as a piano teacher.
