FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to keep lessons affordable, and I value quality time over money. We might go overtime, but I won’t ask for compensation if it was for the sake of finishing a lesson well and helping the student fully understand the lesson that day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of my first questions runs along the lines of “what do you hope to receive from these lessons?” From there, I use songs or concepts that I know the student is passionate about as teaching tools to give them an understanding of music theory and piano playing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master’s degree in collaborative piano and a bachelor’s degree in piano performance. I have received lessons from multiple instructors/professors from college and post-grad, and I have practiced my own work as a private piano teacher for the past 15+ years.
