Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: As head of the guitar department at Boston Conservatory for 20 years, and head of the classical guitar programs at UMass Lowell and UMass Dartmouth for almost 10 years, I have worked with students of all levels including those of very high caliber. This experience has helped me to analyze just about every possible technical issue and I am able to pinpoint problems and offer suggestions to resolve the issues in a very efficient and targeted manner. Through my training and experiences playing with top notch musicians for many years I am able to craft stylized interpretations of many different styles of music, and I love guiding and encouraging my students to play as expressively as possible. Technique is a means to an end, and the ultimate goal is to make beautiful music on the guitar. I love playing the guitar, and being able to share this love with students is very rewarding to me. I really enjoy interacting with all of my students, and we always have a great time in our lessons!

Bill is an outstanding classical guitar teacher. His knowledge, professionalism and passion for playing and instructing is evident, and this translates to a real opportunity for his students to become better players quickly! My lessons were packed with information and practice that was specifically tailored to my areas of interest. Because of the time I spent learning with Bill, I am much more confident in technique and am a better player. Bill has an ability to pick up on what a student needs, deliver helpful advice and instruction and make it fun! He is inspiring and talented, and I had a great time learning with him. I highly recommend Bill!

William is an excellent teacher. He's patient, thorough and has always been quick to send tips on fingering or positioning of my hands as well as tips on technique and explanations of why concepts that are new to me are important for the future mastery of the classical guitar. I am trying to begin again as an older individual who took guitar lessons as a child but was never really taught any classical guitar techniques and therefore I have many bad habits I am trying to unlearn as I progress. Very grateful to have found William as my teacher.

I restarted classical guitar lessons after a 20-year hiatus. I came across Bill’s profile and was instantly impressed by his performance and teaching background. He’s a consummate professional and 100% committed to his students learning the right way. I’ve taken lessons from him for over a year and I’m playing pieces of music that I thought I’d never be able to. If you want to play well with good technique, sound quality, and interpretation, then I highly recommend Bill as the teacher for you.

I did not have an overly positive experience with my first guitar teacher; while he was nice and very talented, it felt like he was more interested in having me listen to him and play than actually teaching me anything. Lucky for me, it seems that the second try was the charm. From the start, Bill has been an exceedingly talented guitar teacher. He quickly gauged my ability through a phone call and introductory lesson, and matched my (extremely basic) skills with a routine that fulfilled both my interests (learning music theory and to read music) and guitar skills that every guitarist should know, including chords and rhythms from popular music, basic blues and improvisation, and some tunes from musical theater as well. I should add that he succeeded in doing this all virtually during covid. Since the covid vaccine was made available, I have attended lessons with Bill in person, and he continues to teach tirelessly, going above and beyond; I'm often still in Bill's guitar studio playing one or two more songs, past the end of the lesson mark - usually at Bill's insistence. He has even sent me hand-written tabs, chords, and guitar recordings on demand by email for when I have questions or can't quite remember how something goes or sounds. My only regret with Bill is that I don't practice enough to adequately take advantage of the great instruction he provides. I look forward to continuing to learn from Bill and in particular hope to learn classical guitar from him one day, as well as continue to improve in all other areas. If you want to be taught guitar, instead of sitting idly while a guitar teacher plays at you rather than teach, I couldn't possibly recommend Bill more.

Bill was my Classical Guitar instructor for a little under a year. He was always thoughtful in his feedback and attentive in his instruction. If I didn't move away from Boston, I'd still be taking lessons with him today.
