Doug is absolutely incredible. He has changed my life in many ways!! Not only does he have a special touch but he is extremely knowledgeable with many things in life. I’m addicted to going and getting work done with him. It started with fascia work then progressed to his access bar work and life coaching. He is simply one of the most amazing human beings I have met. I️ recommend him 1000%. Than you Doug for being you.
Nothing short of mind blowing and life changing! If you are looking for a way to get your life and spiritual health back on track and want to work on becoming the best person you can be, then I highly suggest going to Richer Life Journey! Especially if you are stuck in a rut or feeling depressed, fatigued and desperate need of a jump start and guidance. I see Molly Ryan at the Richer Life Journey Center. I have a chronic illness, had been very fatigued and feeling really lost and depressed. Main stream medical has failed me so I wanted to try some less conventional types of treatments to see if I could at least get my energy up and centered. I didn't know to much about reiki other than it cleans up your energy and centers it. First off Molly is an amazing and gifted woman. She is compassionate and truly wants to help people. I go in there a mess and a scatter brain and leave feeling special, grounded and truly loved by her. I feel like I am important and I do count. That is a gift within itself . Not only is Molly a reiki master, but she is also a medium and intuitive healer. I had no clue what I was in for. I feel she is one of those gifted people you see on TV or read about. I have been getting the color and sound reiki sessions. It's over an hour long and in just a few minutes I am deeply relaxed. Buckets of stress wash away. Durring the sessions there are sounds and smells. I can physically feel a shift durring this time as spirit works through her. The more times I went the more I could "feel" durring the sessions. It was quite exciting and even more so when we discussed it together latter and found we shared similar experiences durring our time together. Equally important and impressive is the period after the session where she discusses with you what information she received from you and spirit. Yes she is very gifted and can tap into all of that. I actually tag on an extra half an hour of counseling also. I believe she may be a certified Councelor or has some sort of degree also. But durring the time after the session she explains what she saw as she worked with each individual chakra and if need be, things to be worked on and or adjusted in your life. This part of the session was mind blowing. She knew things about me that she could not have possibly known. Some of the things I did not even know or recognize at the time! For instance my inner voice is very negative twords myself and that certain things in my past regarding my family were still impacting me in a negative way. She not only points these things out to you but she also directs you to the begining point on working on them in a positive constructive way. I have to say that working with Molly helped me open up my eyes to a whole new world and with her help and loving direction she guided me to a point where I was able to work on myself and was able to achieve a level of inner happiness, peace and ballance. I looked at things differently and approached obstacles in a different manner. After just a few sessions I felt more grounded than I had in years. I understand myself more, have a plan and I feel a lot better and have more energy. Molly made me feel special and loved. She is a beautiful compassionate and gifted woman. Positive energy just radiates from her and through her tallent. She truly cares about you as an individual and has a calling to help people. With her gift and her big heart that is exactly what she does. I highly recommend Molly if you are looking to try reiki I can't recommend her enough and highly recommend doing the extra counceling session at the end to go over the session thoroughly and to gain her experienced insight and guidance. Meeting and working with Molly has been a life altering experience for me and I feel a closeness to her and consider her my mentor, my shaman and my friend. She helped me find myself again and to no longer be defined by my illness. Stacey Carbary
Lou is an excellent personal trainer. He is professional and extremely knowledgeable in both weight training and nutrition. I highly recommend Lou.
Working with Tammy has been great! I’ve already seen the changes in my body and I’m getting stronger every time. If you have been thinking about personal training do not hesitate to contact Tammy you won’t regret it.
I was struggling with some basic life stuff, and decided I needed help. Jim's and my paths had crossed a few years earlier and I remembered that he did life coaching. So I gave him a try. This was almost a year ago. There's no magic pill or words, people. He's down to earth, patient, kind. And skilled. The proof is in the pudding. I'm trying to do my part, he's doing his part.. I can't explain exactly HOW his coaching is working for me. But when I recall the issues I initially brought to the table, and I take a look at where I am almost a year later and how I feel, and what I learned about myself and how to navigate as the individual I am... I would heartily recommend Jim to anyone who thinks they could use some help. To be happier. thumbtack asks reviewers to 'be specific' and I hope I have been. MORE specifics I fear could be counter-productive. I can only suspect that Jim's sensitivity and skill level means he is addressing and approaching clients with a big bag of tricks, some of which are helping me. I'll bet there are skills and tools he uses that I've never seen that could help someone else, and if I were too specific, that person might read this and say "oh, he's okay for her but not for me" and that also may be true. No one coach could be great for everyone. But I sense he has many skills in addition to those he uses to to help me, and the proof is in the pudding. And the pudding is much better this year than it was last year. Phone sessions work fine for me every 2 - 5 weeks. It's very good.
I dont need a career, or life coach I know my direction. When a 2.5 year, full-time contract came to an end a coworker suggested that I might find it helpful to see a friend of hers whom had a coaching and consultancy business (yielding an eye roll from me). As a bit of a favor, I contacted Deb. I have always been laser-focused with my career. I am often the go-to caregiver, and document-person in my family. I pride myself in being able to keep it all together while exceeding goals and expectations. I was blindsided when my first meeting with Deb was a complete catharsis. She helped me slow down, refine my pitch, and build on my strengths as they applied to some of the new skill sets I had acquired, and would be offering as I set out to build my business again. During the couple of months we worked together, Deb was very detailed with our agreed upon goals from meeting-to-meeting. She often followed up between meetings to help me stay on track, and provided subtle but effective encouragement (remember I didnt need a coach). An unexpected bonus was that Deb also happens to be very connected and opened a few key doors for me by making introductions. If you are skeptical about engaging with a coach, Deb will amaze you. Youll wish you had met her ten years earlier. I have a feeling she is a unique coach. I know that I will be engaging with Deb again. -- Cindy Davis
All I can saw is...wow. Mica is probably one of he most informed, driven, and inspirational trainers I've worked with. She's always honest with me and our sessions are never boring. I've lost a couple pounds in the past few weeks already and my abs are starting to look more toned. She taught me that losing weight isn't what training is all about, it's about eating right so I can lead a healthier life. Personal trainers really make a difference but Mica changed my life completely. Thanks again, Mica, can't wait for the next time we meet!
Billy is a great personal trainer, very efficient and patient. I’ve only been working with him for a few weeks now but he has motivated me and helped me in so many ways. Not only does he he work with you while your with him but he also gives you great advice and workout/eating tips for the days I’m not working out with him. All around great guy who knows what’s he doing. Looking forward to continue working with him and reaching my goals.
There are not enough words to explain how happy I am to have found Sean as my personal trainer at Always Strength Fitness. I have been working with him for ~ 4 months (3X a week for 30-60 min sessions) and I don't plan on stopping (unless Sean or I leave Boston :)) I found Sean on Thumbtack (after dealing with a few terrible Thumbtack trainer) and decided to "hire" him & continue our sessions for a number of reasons: 1) Sean has an Incredible Work Ethic and is an All Around Nice Guy- Sean is fully present during our sessions (not on his cell phone or taking selfies or multi-tasking). It helps me be accountable for showing up 100% during each session so I get THE MOST out of each and every workout. 2) Deeply Knowledgeable about Fitness, how the body works/functions, dealing with previous ailments & injuries, mind-body connection, etc - I had two injuries that I was working through and serious muscle imbalances that were getting in the way of being able to advance my strength training progress. Due to our workouts, I have consistently gotten stronger mentally & physically on all levels. Every day activities like carrying my 40 lbs son down a hallway with two giant bags of groceries to doubling the # of Harvard stadium steps in 30 min vs. when I first started working with Sean-- all have seen drastic improvements (night & day) in my endurance and strength. My body is no longer breaking down because Sean is helping me regain strength where I need it, building up strength where I can, and guiding me step-by-step to be even stronger. 3) The coolest part about our workouts is how strong mentally I've grown through our sessions, which has benefits for me in all aspects of my life. When I started working with Sean, I was super insecure about my "lack of fitness, strength, and ability"-- I was never an athlete or active as a kid. Every time I work with Sean and start a new workout, I swear on my life, before the reps, that there is absolutely no way I can complete the workout that he has laid out for me. But somehow with his guidance, positive reinforcement, and million-dollar smile, I do-- even with more reps, more weight, more difficulty, etc. I find myself mentally becoming stronger with each work out and being able to apply that new mental strength to everyday stresses and challenges at work and life. 3) Convenient location & logistics - Always Strength Fitness is conveniently located in Brighton/Allston with covered parking. They have all the equipment and tools to give you a comprehensive workout, regardless of your goals. Finding a time to train with Sean was easy and he's pretty easy to get a hold of and coordinate logistics, etc week to week, which I appreciate. There are definitely so many other reasons why you should work with Always Strength Fitness-- the ones I listed above are unique to what I was looking for, which I 100% found in working with Sean. If you have other goals that maybe I didn't list in my review, I am pretty sure Sean or any of the trainers with Always Strength Fitness will find a way to help you reach them without a sweat.
Ryan was a great personal trainer . He is knowledgable and challenges you! He uses the most advanced techniques and genuinely cares about your individual progress . I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a one on one trainer or small groups !
Working with Ryan has been a transformative experience for me to say the least. I have always worked out, but never with a personal trainer. I thought, “I know how to lift weights and do sit ups!”. Well, I found out that I didn’t know as much as I thought I did. While working with Ryan I learned how to specifically isolate my problem areas. (flabby arms, stomach etc.) One of the things I appreciated the most was the thoroughness of Ryan’s instruction. He explained how each exercise he added to my regiment affected different areas of my body. Ryan is serious about helping you reach your work out goals, and he has a gracious spirit with a can-do and positive attitude. I went from not being able to do one push-up to doing ten respectable push—ups!! Thanks Ryan!
Janey is amazing. His enthusiasm, professionalism and fun attitude completely changed my perspective on personal training. For less than two months, I have developed so much confidence on weight training/ interval training and really started to see results of my training. My legs have gotten much stronger and I have lost two pounds of fat in exchange for muscles. Most importantly, I have developed a habit of going to the gym even outside our personal training sessions. I think this is the most important part of this experience and I hope to keep up this habit for the rest of my life. Thank you Janey!
I took a restorative yoga and essential oils workshop with Natasha recently. The yoga class was exactly what I needed to open up in a general way. Natasha not only provided clear guidance on what to do during the session, she gave interesting perspectives to focus the mind on and suggestions to bring a prop heavy practice into the home. The essential oils segment of the workshop was very informative and hands on. I felt very engaged with Natasha as well as the other participants. Again, Natasha made it easy to incorporate the topics covered back home into our personal practice by providing handouts and simple suggestions. The value of the workshop far surpassed the cost and I absolutely would suggest working with Natasha in any capacity she offers.
Jim knows this profession. He coaches his daughter's lacrosse, HS football and plays sports including softball & golf. He's worked to ready me for ski season and now softball & golf. He keeps me focused & is easy to engage.
Great place to work out , laid pack never to crowded everything you would need is there, when looking for a trainer or in need of a personal trainer , go no further than Dennis Faulkner, you haven't worked out or felt the effects of a work out until you go through one with him, knows what he is talking and puts your goals first. Great gym, great people, great trainers, the best trainer.
Aimee is upbeat , informative , and motivational personal trainer. She helped with meal planning and fitness which in turn put me in better mood everyday. I recommend her services if your looking to lose weight , build muscle , feel happier about your life.
Jesse pushed me to lift more than I thought I was able to and helped me push myself. He showed me new ways to incorporate multiple muscle groups as well as isolate only one muscle while working out. For someone who’s been working out for a couple years, I learned a lot from my experiences from Jesse’s personal training.
As a transitioning vegan, I had a hard time finding a coach that would respect my lifestyle choice of going vegan. Anima Naturals took their time to find out what's important to me and what my goals are. Anima Naturals did not just give me any kind of meal plan, but one that was unique to my age, height, weight and current health state. Being a mother of three, working full-time and being in school, having an idea of what to cook that is quick, easy, and healthy was another challenge for me. Ordering out was always my family and I go too. This new meal plan takes the guesswork out of "what's for dinner." Anima Naturals, thank you for help my family and I on our journey to becoming the best versions of ourselves.
My name is Pam and I'm a 59 year old woman who is here today because of Christ' hand on my life and the people He has brought into my life. There is no doubt in my mind that the Good Lord brought Cheryl Salto, my Life/Faith Coach, into my life. Our first meeting was over five years ago, and at that time I was very depressed and emotionally beaten down. My life's circumstances and situation left me feeling very much alone and hopeless. Cheryl's skills, insight, compassion, wisdom and most of all her heart saw me through the darkest, loneliest time of my life. Months of learning how to set boundaries, reprogramming my backwards and negative thoughts, building a new chapter in my life, learning God's Word pertaining to me and realizing I needed to take care of myself, was spent with this amazing woman. She was patient, filled with acceptance, listened and validated what I had to say and always made me feel comfortable and loved. Her dedication to reaching others who are hurting, and helping them goes beyond anything I've ever seen. Her empathy is God sent and anyone who is blessed to be a recipient of her gifts is truly blessed beyond measure. I have had two children who have fought depression, anxiety, drug addiction and suicidal issues along with an alcoholic husband of the past 30 years. I have seen over 30 professional psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors and counselors for myself and my family. From my experience, I can honestly tell you, it's like 'finding a needle in a haystack' a professional who genuinely cares and who can help. I exhausted all medical fields from every direction and they did more damage to our family than good. Now, I know there are good doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists and counselors in the field, I am just rendering my opinion of what my experience has been. I was forced by a friend to see Cheryl and very reluctantly went to our first appointment. It was God from the start because I know without a doubt He sent me to Cheryl. She received me with so much acceptance and love that I knew I was on the road to recovery and healing. With God's hand and Cheryl's gifts I learned to love myself again, forgive others, most importantly forgive myself, set boundaries and start living again with joy in my heart. I'm still on the journey but now I have tools that will help see me through whatever life brings. Since I stopped seeing Cheryl my beloved dog passed away, my dad whom I cared for over 6 months passed away, and my husband died unexpectantly in the year 2016. Cheryl stood by me and walked with me through ALL of it. Those who have lost loved ones, know how friends and family become scarce when it comes to death. Not so with Cheryl Salto! She pressed in, met me where I felt the pain, extended tenderness and care so I could survive the pain. When my life and heart were shattered she helped me keep my heart open in the midst of the nightmare and taught me not to lose sight of loving and living again. She was so supportive, always making me feel comfortable and 'normal', no matter what my state of mind was. She stood by me while I acknowledged my own broken heart with a sense of respect and reverence that honored my 'reality'. She was one of the rare ones that allowed me to be seen and heard, always meeting me in my pain, never denying what I was feeling but supporting me, validating my emotions and giving me breathing room to what I found wholly unbearable. Cheryl helped me to be brave. To wake up each day when I really didn't want to. To feel my pain, experience it and acknowledge it. She let me pour my heart out when it was shattered into a million different pieces and I knew it could never be made right again. Cheryl is an amazing life coach because she allowed me to be me, right where I was, in the middle of the pain. She never tried to force any 'stages' or time lines on me. She didn't dismiss me or walk away. I've learned from Cheryl, and my experience, that grief is as individual as love: every life, every path, every experience, is unique. Cheryl helped me get through many dark times in my life. She has amazing gifts of empathy and love for the hurting. She is truly a 'golden nugget' in the sea of pebbles! In many ways she saved my life and put hope back in my heart. My journey is far from over but I will be forever and eternally grateful to this wonderful woman. How do you say 'thank you' to someone who helped you breathe again and give you your life back? I guess you could say I found 'the needle in the haystack'!!! Thank you Lord for bringing this woman, Cherly Salto, into my life. To You God, be the glory and honor! Amen
