FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge a dollar a minute- $30 for a half hour, $45 for 45 minutes and $60 an hour. I am willing to make accommodations if needed, of course.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When taking on a new student, I always ask them to prepare a piece that best represents their ability in the first lesson to get an idea of what direction is necessary to take. Even if the student has no previous experience with the instrument, I find it essential to discuss with the student (and their parent, if present) their general needs and goals for taking private lessons. In the major scope of your studies, I hope to instill a solid technical foundation, a heightened musical aptitude as well as a strong appreciation for all elements of art, both in the fine arts and popular culture.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing the cello since I was nine years old. I have worked/studied in chamber groups, orchestras, and as a soloist for the last eight years and just recently graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a bachelor's degree in Cello Performance.
