Alejandro is a wonderful tutor. He customizes his lessons to involve subjects and material relevant to your life. His lessons are very conversational and help to create a grounded understanding of the language. He gives homework in between each lesson so his students can practice throughout the week. He also offers the option of meeting in person or via skype, which worked very well for me with my busy schedule. Alejandro also offers a few "cultural immersion" sessions which include all his students. This way students can have the opportunity to converse in Spanish with one another, and apply what they have learned in a relaxed setting. I would definitely recommend Alejandro to anyone trying to learn or improve their Spanish. He is very understanding and genunly cares about his students!

I've completed four sessions with Sibyl so far and I have just signed up for four more- I have really been enjoying our lessons so far! Sibyl has done a great job of assessing my level of understanding and tailoring the lessons towards my skill level and specific interests. I look forward to continuing with her!

I pretty much owe my A in calculus and my 2150 SAT score to Oliver. He was able to explain math in a way that not only made a lot of sense to me, but enabled me to see connections and a bigger picture than I did before. The class became so much easier. Also, he was a huge help with the reading section of the SAT, and a really nice guy!

Lisa is great. Lisa is all about learning the right way, positive reinforcement and truly caring about your child. I first reached out to Lisa for SSAT's but realized she made it much more than that. Lisa is a true educator about how to learn and what you as a parent can do to help. My daughter test scores improved in reading and reading comprehension (her weakness) and in math. Building confidence in herself and in reading is what Lisa does. Having a child who embraces reading now is what it is all about, life long results are the best results. Can't say enough.

I recently ran across a review about Quantum Prep and felt like I just had to share my tutoring story as well. I graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington Massachusetts. Lexington High School is a huge school. When I say huge, I mean I graduated with five hundred and eleven classmates. I was always proud to go to Lexington High, we were rated number 19 in 2014 by Newsweek in their “America’s Top Public Schools.” Luckily my class sizes were always small and it was not too hard to get help from the teacher. The first semester of my junior year I was taking five classes. I was looking into pre-med, so I took a lot of hard science classes that gave me at least two hours of homework a night. I also worked on the weekends, swam competitively, played in the jazz band and was active in my religious youth group. That year I was taking AP Chemistry as a challenge and knew I was going to have a tough time with it. My teacher, Mrs. Compton, was great! She explained everything really well and broke it down for the class. I just really couldn’t get everything in my notebook and in my head with enough time to move on to the next topic, so I’d lose information here and there, making it really hard to answer test questions. I got the first F in my entire academic career on the first quiz. I’m one of those people who expect a lot from themselves, and I expected A’s. I felt really bad about myself for the first two quizzes because I wasn’t coming even close to what I knew I could do. In addition, because I was spending so much time working on AP Chemistry, my other classes were suffering. And as a prospective pre-med student, I was afraid that because I challenged myself I wasn’t going to get into the colleges I wanted. That's when I called Quantum Prep for help. As soon as I had the first tutoring session I felt a little more reassured. We went over my quizzes and homework assignments and my tutor quickly picked up what I was missing and how to keep me focused. I felt much more confident walking into class every day. My tutor figured out how I best learn and we started laughing and making jokes as we did “stereochemistry”. Yes, he figured out within one session that I learn better with music playing in the background and even knew why! The real difference was that he didn’t just teach me material, he taught me how to learn for myself. It was a game-changer in how I approached school and learning in general. So while he was teaching me one class, I was using the learning techniques he taught me to improve my grades in all of my classes. He even patiently sat through temper tantrums and low points. So what happened after I called Quantum Prep? The next quiz I took, I got thirty points higher than the last. The first exam; I got a B+. I went on to graduate in a science heavy degree, and got into my first choice for college and graduated with a degree in Neuropsychology. I highly suggest using Quantum Prep for any kind of tutoring. I had such a wonderful experience and have used the lessons I learned from him in so many different aspects of my life, from studying at the university to job experiences. Thank you Quantum Prep!

I can describe Chris in one word: PASSION. He is passionate about teaching and all passion he has is turned into energy always giving 100%. He's the best teacher I ever had. With him I feel I'm really learning and improving my English skills. His classes are alternatives and especially original: with Chris is impossible to be bored! He creates his lessons really thinking to his students. He is one of the only teachers who hasn't forgotten how it was to be a student. In my opinion that's amazing! What I like most is that every class is active, dynamic and unique. Chris for me isn't just an English teacher, he's a life coach: he taught to me to face life in a different way, has taught me that we mustn't give up, because the beauty of life is its "non-perfection". Now I know there is always something to be proud of and that something brings us to achieve the big goals. I feel very lucky to have met Chris, he's a great teacher and a great person. There should be more people/teachers like him.

While I could endlessly sing Jan Dunlevy’s praises for all the help, support and encouragement that she provided to my 9 year old daughter, I think that the greatest testament to her work is what my daughter stated when I told her that I was going to write a review about Jan: “She is the best tutor ever, and here’s why: she is so very nice and was determined to help me with my reading, writing and math. She taught me to stick with my work and how not to get distracted, like when I didn’t know what paragraph I was reading. And I love that she taught me to write my name in cursive. She is just great, and I totally recommend her to any kid!”

Ronnie was an excellent tutor! It was very clear that he knew the material very well, but aside from his obvious intelligence and preparedness, he was extremely patient and kind. He was able to thoroughly break down a topic for me to understand and made sure that I had full comprehension. Furthermore, it was clear that he enjoyed teaching making it more enjoyable for me too. I highly recommend contacting Ronnie to be a tutor.

Learning Quest has been working with my current Senior and 8th grader for a few years now. We've had experience with other tutors but they did not measure up to the wealth of knowledge and skills that are available through Learning Quest. My senior has benefited from the knowledge transfer of Learning Quest for his SAT, and ACT prep, college and high school essay work, organizational coaching, homework and agenda tracking/planning. My 8th grader has benefited from MCAS support, essays, long-term project planning, and reading comprehension. Beth has supported my kids in all of the primary subjects. I would highly recommend services through Learning Quest in Ashland, MA.

Beth "joined" our family six weeks and has been a blessing in disguise. Each week she meets with our son and challenges him to get out of his comfort zone and to further expand on his reading comprehension and writing skills. While challenging Alex, she has also helped him to develop a confidence in his work and helped give him the tools to succeed. If you are looking for someone to help your son/daughter further develop their skills over the summer or throughout the school year, I would highly recommend Beth.

I was very fortunate to have found Barbara for a tutor. I needed help with all aspects of the Verbal SAT. I had a weekly 1 ½ hour session and found Barbara patient, knowledgeable and caring and pleasant, truly a gem with whom to work. She individualized all lessons and geared her teaching toward my greatest areas of weaknesses. Concentration for me was in strengthing vocabulary, critical reading and writing essays all geared to improve SAT scores. My scores increased and I was thrilled when I got accepted to the university of my choice. I do not hesitate to recommend her. I found her rates reasonable for the service she provided.
