Sam was great! My TV looks really nice mounted on my wall; plus he repaired some nitpicking things around the house like my doorbell, front door, cabinets, closet door...that needed repairing since I purchase the house. He is an all-around maintenance and handy man. He will be my go-to-guy from now on.

The front steps to my house took a beating with last year's winter weather and were badly in need of repair. The railing had come loose and the cement slabs were cracked and crumbling. I let things go through the summer but decided to start contacting contractors before September to get the repairs completed before the weather gets bad. I emailed contractors, spoke to them on the phone and had a few come down to give me estimates. All of them were unreliable and as a result unprofessional in my opinion. They all kept me hanging and didn't return phone calls. Two months went by and my steps were still not fixed. I was becoming a bit desperate and then I found Phil from As We Lay Masonry. I wish I had found him sooner. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation. Phil is a pro and a great guy too. He's conscientious, knowledgeable and--He returns phone calls!! He gave me a fair estimate of what it would take to fix my steps. And he did the job exactly as promised and on time. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs masonry repair and maintenance. Phil is the man!!

I would give Fernando a 10 star if it were available. He came when he said he would and completed the work in a timely and beautiful manner. Our house needed repairs to the brick on the front and he used his amazing skills to match the brick and mortar to the existing. He even made a couple of small additional repairs that we had not seen originally. He is extremely polite and courteous. Removed all debris and cleaned everything before leaving. I highly recommend him and would not hesitate one second to bring him back.

I needed what I thought was minor repairs to a concrete patio. I liked Sal immediately. He's a laid back, friendly guy. I had interviewed several other people and this was the first time that no alarm bells went off and the price was right. There were a couple of unexpected issues and he handled it well. There was more damage than what was first thought. He included me in on everything and I never felt like he didn't want me involved (you know how some contractors secretly wish the homeowner would go away - especially if it's a woman). I felt safe in his hands and did not feel he would "screw me over" so to speak. What I like about Sal the most is that he's an artist and truly cares about his finished product. Sal was not only accommodating but also recommended what might look best. Overall, Sal's a quality guy, running a quality business. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and would be a reference for him.

Brady Masonry Construction did an excellent job for our School of Fashion Design located at 136 Newbury Street, Boston. From start to finish, the owner, Mike Brady, worked with us on our courtyard project. He located and recommended the right materials, and worked within our time frame and budget. Top notch and I highly recommend Brady Masonry Construction.

Paul performed a myriad of small to medium repair jobs for me in the spring and summer. From tricky electrical work, repairing a bathroom ceiling beautifully and in a cost-effective way, getting my doorbell working again well and at minimum cost, to putting ACs in, and painting, Paul worked efficiently, carefully, and creatively. I found Paul to be an excellent communicator, a great problem solver, doing his work efficiently and creatively. He was open to suggestions, and did his work always being in great spirits. I know it's a cliche, but indeed no job was too big or too small for Paul. I've had handymen before, but Paul stands out for his skills, efficiency, creativity, communication, dependability, and great attitude. I've already begun making a list for fall projects for Paul: taking out and storing ACs, hanging new shades, and opening some large lateral file cabinets of which I lost the keys, and more to come. I also have recommended Paul to a friend in the area.
