I have been training with Johnny for six months now. It has been an awesome experience! I had been away from training and lifting for many years. Johnny got be back into the groove again! He has taken an over weight, 49 year old mess and delivered amazing results. I have muscle, definition, and have greatly improved my overall strength. Johnny is extremely knowledgeable in the human anatomy. He has a well mapped out plan detailed uniquely for each clients goals. For me, he combines power/strength development with muscle development through hypertrophy training. Trust me, IT WORKS! I am now hooked! My goal was to work with Johnny for 3 - 4 months. Well, he is so good I am in it for the long haul! I train with Johnny 3 days a week and 1 -2 days on my own. He got me to believe in myself again! I can physically see that I can still make major changes in muscle development and improve my overall physique. I highly recommend Johnny! He is not intimidating at all... he makes you feel comfortable and explains each exercise and routine thoroughly. Not to mention, he is just an overall great guy! Thanks Man! I have trained with Nancy for several months. I have already noticed major improvement in my strength and balance. Nancy is an outstanding and very experienced trainer. I have trained with less experienced trainers and have ended up getting injured, as I have preexisting knee and shoulder issues. Nancy is knowledgable enough to work with these issues, and my knee and shoulder are actually improving. I highly recommend her.
Doug is amazing! I asked my physical therapist to recommend a trainer that could help train me to improve my osteoporosis and that could work with my family as a whole, my husband, 4 kids (ages 14, 12, 10 and 8) and myself, to weight train and get my kids interested in self improvement instead of video games. Doug teaches, guides and encourages my children appropriately for their ages and developmental stages. He listens to them and motivates them individually with a smile and positive attitude always. My husband and I feel so healthy and get an amazing workout followed with advice and suggestions to eat healthy too! Doug never pushes or forces, just always helps us believe in ourselves and set achievable goals!
Will is a phenomenal trainer and I can't say enough good things. I'm a few months in now and the whole experience has been great. At the beginning we set forth no-nonsense goals and expectations. Then he set up sessions and the workouts are no joke. He keeps you motivated and won't let you slack off. The diet advice and communication with him between workouts keep you honest. I have a very busy schedule and he's always flexible and reliable. The results in health, fitness, and weight loss are noticeable quickly. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get into better shape, but needs some guidance and motivation in moving forward.
All I can saw is...wow. Mica is probably one of he most informed, driven, and inspirational trainers I've worked with. She's always honest with me and our sessions are never boring. I've lost a couple pounds in the past few weeks already and my abs are starting to look more toned. She taught me that losing weight isn't what training is all about, it's about eating right so I can lead a healthier life. Personal trainers really make a difference but Mica changed my life completely. Thanks again, Mica, can't wait for the next time we meet!
I started training with Billy in Jan 2017 after losing 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. I interviewed other trainers at the time but never found a good fit. Upon meeting Billy for the first time, I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and experience about nutrition, strength training, anatomy, and overall fitness. He is an excellent listener and employs routines and strategies that support his client's goals / needs. Little did I know that I would reach my goal weight (lose another 30 lbs for total 80 lb loss), succeed in strength training taking me to new personal records that I never dreamed of (deadlifts, etc...), firm up body and run my very first 5K within 6-7 months of starting to work with Billy. I have had a few injuries (shoulder, back) from extracurricular sports that have required physical therapy. Billy understands PT's approach, is happy to communicate & build plans with them, and then modifies our routine to support PT objectives while continuing to stay on a path supporting strength training and overall fitness. I plan to continue working with New School Fitness / Billy on a regular basis (training for "Tough Mudder" or possibly "Spartan" - can't believe it - so amazing). After such a successful, and fun, first year training with Billy, I am happy to highly recommend "New School Fitness".
It has been almost 6 months and counting since I started working with Ross as my trainer and I am still just as enthusiastic about my workouts and working with Ross. I am a 41 year old, working mother of two and I have not been in this good of shape since I was on the swim team in high school. I have worked with four different trainers over the past two years now and Ross is by far the best. When I started with Ross, I didn't have any specific goals or even a strong drive to make any major changes, but he subtly helped me develop goals and before I even knew it, I was suddenly super motivated to accomplish them! I've gone down 2 sizes and I feel so healthy and strong. He even motivated me to start exercising outside of our training time, which is great! The best part about working with Ross is that he doesn't make it feel like work. He always working different muscle groups and changing up the exercises I do. Every workout there is some new challenge or variation that I haven't tried before. Further, he was able to sense the kinds of exercises I like and don't like and he tailors the workout accordingly, while still being sure to work all muscle groups. He is exceptionally good at reading you during the workout to maximize the benefit from each exercise. Other trainers I have had would say, "Do 10 of this."; Ross tells you to start an exercise and he watches you closely and tells you to stop when you start to fatigue and just before your form starts to falter. This is actually a better way to exercise because it not based on an arbitrary number, but rather works the muscle to it's limit. Ross is great about checking form to make sure that you don't hurt yourself. He is careful not to give someone exercises that they cannot handle yet, or that need perfect form to execute without injury. I've had other trainers push me into lifting heavy weights over my head and I ended up hurting my back multiple times. On a personal note, Ross is a wonderful guy. He is a lot of fun to talk to and that makes the workouts go by so fast! I'm often disappointed when my time is up. So different from a cardio workout where I am counting the minutes until it is over! For anyone wanting to get in shape and feel healthy and strong, I cannot recommend working with Ross enough. I have done all kinds of cardio workouts for years (running, kickboxing, spin, etc) but it wasn't until I started building muscle that I really felt better and noticed a positive difference in my body. I can tell that I have truly changed my metabolism in the past 6 months. Now I look back and wonder why I didn't do this years ago. How could I have let myself get so fat? (Spoiler alert: answer = children) Honestly, in the end it was a pretty easy solution. All it took was a few hours a week, lots of new Lululemon clothes and one amazing trainer!! He has had a direct, very positive impact on my life and I cannot thank him enough!!
I worked with Ryan for two months, during which time he helped me transform from 'skinny fat' to fit! I'm now 32, and I have not felt this good in a bathing suit since high school. Through coaching me on healthy eating and a combination of weight training and cardio, Ryan finally helped me gain strength and lose the bulk or my back and stomach fat (other areas too, but those were my biggest problem areas), which had been slowing increasing for years. I also benefitted immensely from Ryan's PT background in ways I didn't even anticipate. Working with someone who truly understands the body's mechanisms made a tremendous difference for me, as Ryan was able to help me safely work around an injury I sustained unrelated to training, and get me back to 100%. I would definitely still be contending with this injury were it not for Ryan's guidance and expertise. I started with Ryan admittedly just wanting to look better, and came away not only having accomplished that, but feeling a million times better as well. Most importantly, Ryan is committed to my success not only while training with him, but for the long term. My only regret is not doing this sooner. It's an investment, but one that will pay big dividends provided you're committed to putting in the work. This has really changed my life. Thanks for everything, Ryan!!
I have been working with Geoff for 3 months now and it has been an awesome experience. He is passionate about his work, which reflects in my training. He is super nice, fun to work with and knows what he’s doing. During the week when I am not training with him, he maps out personalized workouts through an app that is easy and fun to use. He is also readily available for questions through text or email. As for my results, so far I have lost body fat and gained muscle, definition and strength. This has also been a great learning experience, he has taught me much about weight training and nutrition that I can carry on with me throughout life. Would highly recommend, thanks!
Jim helped me feel confidant and healthy for my summer wedding! I am an exercise obsessed 27 year old. When I came to Jim I was bored of my routine and looking for an extra push to feel my best for my upcoming wedding. Jim taught me a new skill set using weights and interval cardio training. For years I was only focused on cardio, never aware of the toning and strength that weight training provides. Jim was an excellent teacher, he was flexible, knowledgable and prepared. I would recommend him to anyone no matter your needs and fitness experience.
Working out with Micah and next level fitness has been the best workout program I have ever been on. Within the semi personal training Micah works with each person to help them achieve their goals of weight loss and/or toning. The sessions are tough but fun and micah is always there to support you and help you achieve the best results possible. I have never felt better in such a short period of time.
I have worked with a lot of personal trainers over the years, and Vahid is one of the best. He is always punctual, professional and pleasant to train with. He creates individualized work out plans and really focuses on your goals. When he's training with you, he gives you 100% of his focus (vs. trainers I've had in the past that would be on their phones or be distracted, which always really bothered me!). He always pushes me just the right amount so that I feel like I'm getting stronger and healthier, but in a safe way. I even increased my workouts with Vahid from once to twice a week because I really liked the results I was getting. I definitely recommend him no matter what your goals are or what your current fitness level is!
I met with Mark to ensure that I was lifting weights with the proper form. He was very polite, professional and gave me a lot of great tips and pointers. I was also able to put together a good workout routine from his feedback and advice. He even went the extra mile and helped me put together a good diet. When I first was introduced to nick I had already gone through 3 other trainers, none of them had listened to me and what I was looking for. Nick is an amazing trainer which helped me create a workout routine I could use on my own and refine my diet. In working with him I lost weight, built muscle, and drastically increased my endurance. I trained with Tom for over two years, working on weight loss, strength training, and distance running. I really loved working with Tom and would recommend him highly. He always kept the variety good so workouts were never boring, and he was great at tailoring the program to my personal objectives which evolved over time. Critical to my success, Tom did a great job of combining both training with teaching effective stretches and corrective exercises that kept me healthy and injury-free, even as I picked up running longer distances for the first time, eventually completing my first marathon. Also, especially at the start, I was pretty remedial in my physical abilities – overweight and out of shape. But Tom never made me feel judged or inferior. If you want someone intelligent, professional, and motivating to work with, even if you’re just getting started, I would definitely recommend giving Tom a try.
I started working with Chad almost a year ago because I was struggling to transition from the power lifting workouts I did as a college athlete to more "normal" workouts. I knew that I wanted to get into better shape cardiovascularly and lose some of the bulky muscle I put on in college. Chad worked with me to develop a program that incorporated high intensity cardio along with more toning strength exercises. He's really helped me refine my workouts to what really works for me!
Working with Paul was great. When I was 6 months pregnant he helped me with terrible sciatic pain that developed and then post-pregnancy he coached and trained me back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Go with PTSquared, you'll be so happy you did!
Emily is one of the best trainers out there! She is extremely professional and knowledgeable. When I first found her, she had me set long term and short term fitness/health goals and made sure I did not slack on them. She held me accountable and doesn't put up with any excuses, (which is something you want in a trainer, trust me!) I was originally 150 pounds and my goal weight was 135, I can officially say that I have not only reached my goal but ALSO maintained the weight. Emily knows her stuff, she is very educated about the human body and personal training. She also has her yoga certification, which also helped during training because she helped improve my flexibility. If anyone is looking for a personal trainer/yoga instructor, this is the gal to go to. She is also quick to respond and is punctual. I would definitely 100% recommend her to anyone, she is FABULOUS. :)
