It was such a pleasure to work with John throughout our wedding planning process and ESPECIALLY on the day of our wedding. We would recommend him as one of our top vendors. It is a very close tie in praise between how amazingly good the food was and how professional and prepared his team was. All of the guests enjoyed the meal, which given our last minute changes due to weather, was an amazing improvisation by John to get all of the food out timely and everything was delicious. Picking our menu and doing our tasting was one of the best parts of the planning process and John made it so easy. He had excellent suggestions and was willing to talk through all of our priorities and wants for our day. The final result was a beautifully presented meal that everyone raved about. His team worked so hard the day of our wedding, but multiple guests commented on the positivity and joy they brought to the venue. Everyone was smiling and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Once we found J&L Catering, it was hard to find a better value for our money for the extent of the services John and his team provided. We would recommend him to anyone in the future for any catering needs.

Classique Impressions did a MARVELOUS job decorating for my sisters wedding. After a last minute fiasco from our former decorator, we had already given up the dreams of having an elegant and beautiful hall. But it was just unbelievable the quality of service we got. The linen was so beautiful! The ceiling draping, lighting,centerpieces, backdrop and sweetheart table made everyone go woah! The detailing was amazing! And to imagine that I paid less for a lot more that what others had charged is just unimaginable!  Yes! Yes! Yes! I will recommend Classique 100 times over and over again! I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.

Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.

Yvonne was an exceptional wedding planner. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to our special day, and she was always willing to accommodate us. She made us feel like we were a priority and that she had our best interest in mind. I knew that I did not have to worry about a thing on my day because of Yvonne's top-notch professionalism. Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Thank you Kelly for everything that you did and all the things I don't know about, you were truly one of the best decisions I made during my wedding planning!

Everyone needs the Professional Maid of Honor at their wedding or event! Katelynn took initiative in so many ways before and on the day of my wedding. Leading up to the event, Katelynn was a great listener. She heard and understood what I envisioned for the day when other people didn't, she helped me think thorough back up plans in case of rain, and when the day came she coordinated everything seamlessly. It's true what everyone says, your wedding day flys by! Having Katelynn there allowed my husband and I to spend more time chatting with our guests. While we were enjoying ourselves, Katelynn made sure the day flowed as planned. She started the transition from cocktail hour to dinner, made sure our speakers were ready to give their toasts, transitioned us into the dance hall after dinner, and so much more. I could go on forever about all the helpful things Katelynn did on our wedding day. What I loved most about working with her was her fun and positive attitude. She took on every change or task without hesitation. Any stress or worry we had about the wedding day running smoothly disappeared once we found and talked with Katelynn. I would recommend The Professional Maid of Honor to anyone and everyone! You will not be disappointed when you hire Katelynn. My fiancee and I had one simple request to keep our wedding planning and wedding day stress free. Amanda has more than exceeded our expectations. She saved us a lot of money, providing props, design recommendations, averted so many foreseeable crises months before the wedding started. She was flexible with my family's needs, and collaborated with my in-laws in wedding preparations. She ended every call with "Let me know if you can think of anything else you need..." She missed our rehearsal dinner after our rather awful florist messed up our flowers last minute. Amanda was almost like a part of our family, honoring both my needs and my family's, finding peaceful solutions where she could. The wedding turned was like a fairytale. For someone as laidback and almost absent in my wedding planning, Amanda stepped up and turned what I thought was going to be a beautiful day into an extraordinary experience for me and my now husband! We had the great pleasure of asking Meredith to plan our first Baby Shower. As we were out of state transplants as the husband/father i got tagged to coordinate. In typical fashion I reached out to someone with Expertise, Meredith. Talk about a god send, she managed all aspect for us, Location, Invitations, menu. It was the hit of the town event and have had our friend years after still talk about it! I entrusted Meredith with everything and she did not disappoint. We have already discussed our 25th wedding anniversary which is still 8 years out.

    If you are looking for a kind, hardworking, wildly organized, perfectionist with great ideas and someone who will turn your dreams into reality, then you have come to the right place! Devyn of Emerald Events is all of that and more. From the very first day I reached out to Devyn she was nothing short of poised and professional. Initially I planned to only utilize Emerald Events’ Day of Services, however, after my planning got well underway I realized there was no way I could pull off the perfect day without more of Devyn's assistance. Without hesitation she stepped up to the plate, organizing a vendor by vendor budget, full wedding weekend itinerary and also began reaching out to each of my vendors by email, phone and written letters (on professional letterhead to boot)! I was working with a budget and let Devyn know that from the start. She was very willing to work within my budget and even found vendors, such as a videographer, I never believed I would be able to afford. My particular venue was merely a piece of land, so as you can expect with a blank slate it can be fun, but a bit overwhelming. I provided every ounce of detail down to the forks! I am a perfectionist myself and had a vision of my wedding for years and I will admit I was afraid I would never be able to have someone else pull off what I thought was only in my head, but boy was I wrong. Devyn captured every last detail and then some. We met numerous times all of which she came prepared and organized. Being busy and at times disorganized I was constantly sending Devyn one off emails with items that would pop into my mind, but never did she seem the slightest bit bothered and always promptly responded. A month prior to my wedding she even went as far as scheduling time to come over to my house to look at all of the small details, label each and put together last minute details. But above all else, my wedding weekend was where she truly shined. My wedding was on Cape Cod in the middle of an extremely hot August. Devyn and her assistant came down for the entire weekend to make sure everything moved smoothly and according to plan. Both presented themselves professionally dressed and accessorized with iPads! When they first arrived they came by the house we had rented to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly, but at the same time were sure to never be a bother. They helped with everything from tip distribution, to helping collect last minute items my family and friends had forgot in the craziness of the weekend. On the day of my wedding it was 96 degrees and extremely humid and Devyn and her assistant still never missed a single beat. Numerous people, still 2 months later, have come to me to complement their professionalism and all around amazing work. Although this review may be lengthy, I know I am forgetting so many more details Emerald Events did to make sure my wedding was one for the books. Last but not least, not only is Emerald Events all around the best Cape Cod and Newport have to offer, they are affordable and will provide you with electronic billing!! The best decision you can make is to hire Emerald Events as your wedding planner!! You will never regret this decision!!
