Scheduled a session with Mark to get some portraits and action shots of myself for social media. Throughout the photoshoot, I was very impressed by his top-down and collaborative approach. I came in with general themes for what I wanted in each set of shots – Mark took these in and translated them into a guiding framework for how he would frame each set, and explained it to me clearly. Working together, his choices of location and framing aligned really well with what I had in mind. Also I have a tendency to stiffen up while being photographed, and he was also good at putting me at ease. The photos came out exceedingly well. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone.

We had a fantastic experience working with Mark. He took beautiful portraits of my family and was able to capture some great moments with my kids, candids and posed. Photographing a 4 year old and an infant is no easy task and Mark more than rose to the challenge. Would definitely work with him again.

I needed an author photo outdoors and am so glad I worked with Mark. We worked outside in the cold, leafless arboretum in the winter and the photos somehow look like a spring day. He has an amazing eye for backdrop, lighting, posing. And his photos are of the highest quality. The hardest part about working with Mark is that I have a tough decision to choose just one shot for the publisher.

I believe everyone should be able to afford beautiful images, whether it's for their family event or company's annual report. Different projects vary in their complexity and length and I'm always keen on having a conversation about budget and time.

It's typical to spend some time on the phone going over expectations and past experience to see if it's a good fit for the project.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got my start back on the days of film, shooting editorial assignments for Inc. Magazine, Fortune, DownBeat and many other national publications. Every job is a new challenge to come away with lively images that embody the spirit of the event and people involved.
