FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
MOLD REMEDIATION COSTS Effective mold remediation is a serious business. It is expensive due to insurance and liability, overhead for equipment and chemicals, and the labor costs for qualified workers. Equipment has to be thoroughly cleaned after leaving the job site and filters replaced at around hundred each. The average cost of remediating one interior wall in a home is three thousand. Insurers nation-wide say that the average cost for most mold claims runs between thirty thousand and fifty thousand. It is not unusual for a typical project to cost between 1\ten thousand and twenty thousand. Square footage is one factor in an estimate, but only a small part. Mold remediation fees vary based on the type of mold, length of time present, methods for removal, and the cost to correct deficiencies and restore surfaces. For these reasons, companies must develop a unique estimate for each specific job. For mold removal only, a typical crawlspace can range from five hundred to five thousand, depending on accessibility and the degree of mold contamination. Interior mold removal can range from two thousand to six thousand, not counting the restoration costs. Once mold removal is completed, re-building the area and correcting construction defects that contributed to the mold can add considerably to the cost.
