FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weddings and private events, we usually package our band with sound, lights, a band for cocktail hour, DJing in between sets and any MCing the client requires. For weddings we offer the option to learn three special songs for them. We have additional services that can be added on, like uplighting, customized slideshows, gobo projectors and music for ceremony. We also offer the option to add a trumpet player, or for our bassist to play upright for ceremony or cocktail hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We try to stay on top of the latest music technology. We mix tracks into our music and try to take advantage of the latest DJ tricks to make our band sound as good as we can. We like trying to mimic what the original artist did, and we have lots of toys that allow us to do that. One of my favorites is the vocoder my trombone player uses. It gives you that Daft Punk robot sound. Very cool!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I never wanted to be a singer when I grew up; it was always just a hobby. As I started joining bands I started getting paid more and more to do it, and at one point I realized I was making better money, and was a lot happier, playing music. I haven't gone back!
