Cheryl is excellent at what she does. I have been attending her yoga class for a couple of years, and she always starts with a meditation. She knows how important it is to begin a class with breath work as opposed to jumping into the yoga practice right away in order to get your mind and body ready. Her breath work is always specific and has a purpose, and you can tell by being in the room with Cheryl that she is so invested in her students and is so knowledgeable about what she is teaching. I am thankful that I have found such a fantastic yoga teacher!

I've been taking Broga classes with Tim since the beginning of the year, and his classes have become a part of my week that I look forward to. He has a very calm demeanor and and explains the poses very well for newcomers. I'm not a morning person at all, but I'd get up early to take his morning class. I recommend Tim very highly whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years.

I have been practicing yoga for almost 10 years and completed my 200-hour teacher training in the YogaWorks program (which is based on the precision of the Iyengar system and the flow of the Ashtanga method). I recently completed a workshop retreat dealing specifically with yoga for back care, with a special emphasis on scoliosis and other spinal issues. Yoga has also proven to be an invaluable addition to my other athletic pursuits, including several triathlons and half marathons. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities and look forward to developing personalized yoga sessions depending on the students' needs. I recently completed a continuing education course dealing specifically with hands-on adjustments and offer hands-on modifications throughout private yoga sessions. I believe that when we practice awareness, mindfulness, and compassion during a yoga class, these qualities eventually become incorporated into our everyday lives. I am currently teaching these styles of yoga: Yin yang gentle, Hatha and Vinyasa flow, Beginner yoga, Youth yoga, also senior and chair yoga! I specialize in yoga for addiction and meridian yoga. What is Meridian yoga? There are 14 meridians (channels). Two meridians are reservoirs for our universal energy that circulates the energy of heaven and earth (our life force), and 12 are linked in one continuous circuit connecting all our organs. These meridians are the same names for the organs in the body, such as gallbladder, kidney, liver, lungs, stomach, etc. Each meridian has a specific job to do, and it is our job to keep the channels clean, clear and connected. Meridian yoga is about freeing up blockages in these channels, restoring and strengthening the flow of prana or chi, our life force energy throughout the body. I use various techniques to help open and balance these energetic pathways of the body called meridians in Chinese medicine, and nadis in yoga. We will practice yin/yang yoga in combination with breathing techniques, resistance stretching, pressure point massage and Reiki to detox, cleanse and release the blockages that stifle the flow of prana. There are many more facets to this practice of clearing the blockages through our meridians, and we will touch on all them as we continue to grow and learn about our innate healing abilities.
