Chelsea has been wonderful! She explained her thinking every step of the way so we understood each aspect of the training process. Our dog Bodhi is SO MUCH better behaved now it is amazing!Jan 5, 2017Verified
I chose to go with someone other than a thumbtack review for in home obedience training first with bark bustersApr 2, 2019Verified
I got connected to Conmon Sense K9 through social media. I was looking for a service dog for my daughter that would also be a good family dog. After corresponding with Chelsea several for weeks I made the decision to go forward with it. Chelsea came to our home to meet us m. She got to know us and what we were looking for and found us a perfect match-Georgia Belle. Chelsea then began working with us, training and coaching for obedience then trained for my daughter’s specific needs. It was not a one-size-fits all approach. A few months passed and I felt like I might want to get another dog, because our experience with Chelsea had been so amazing we decided to let her know so she could match us up again. Within a few weeks we got a call to meet a young female silver lab Silverado - “Rado”. Needless to say, we met her and took her home the same day. We had already arranged her first three training sessions with Common Sense K9. Our family is complete, thanks to Chelsea and Commin Sense K9.Jan 7, 2018

I'm currently in training with Common Sense K9 and I am beyond pleased with Chelsea’s knowledge, skill and professionalism. She has taught me the how and how not to when it comes to teaching me how to handle my dogs. She knows her stuff and had done wonders for both of my labs. If you are looking for someone to do all the work, Chelsea is not your trainer. If you are willing to listen, learn and put in the work, Chelsea is definitely the go to in this area. She knows her stuff and she cares about her clients and their dogs. I highly recommend her services.Dec 27, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Each case can be different on price as each person and their dog need different things. I will meet and come to you do a demonstration on my training and how I do things complimentary. I charge per package ranging from $400 and up depending on what is needed for training. If you sign up with me the day we meet on my complimentary meet and greet you will get a free session. If you sign up with me and you refer a friend who signs up as well you will get another free session!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I travel to all my clients within a reasonable distance from my facility, give them a demonstration of how I train and what we would need to do in their particular training Curriculum and discuss further plans.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been around dogs all my life and began my career with a family friend who was a fantastic and talented dog trainer for personal protection and obedience when serving in the army. Over the many years I have been training under her I have also trained with various other trainers in many different disciplines, from rehabilitating severely dog and human aggressive dogs to service dogs for veterans and your average pet with tight obedience. I have also been a veterinary technician for over 10 years now and currently work part time in emergency. I can honestly say so far in all the dogs I have trained and rehabilitated there has not yet been one that I have not had success with.
