Steve asked me to be a model for a shoot he had in mind for a while now. It took place over the course of about an hour and a half to two hours from start til finish. I was consistently impressed by Steve's ability to put me at ease and make me feel comfortable in front of the lens. His ideas and his technique were second to none and went well beyond my expectations. The work produced was a testament to the dedication he has for his art and for the product that comes of it. He was consistently excited and supportive of my ideas and hopes for the shoot. The shoot involved some special effects make up that had a very thick consistency, making the product hard to control. I feel if Steve knew the product's behavior a little better the shoot would have gone a bit smoother since we had to sit and fuss with the application for a while. However, that being said, the shoot went very well after we figured out how the behavior of the make up would effect the outcome of the photographs. He is a singular individual that continues to impress as he exceeds in talent, poise, and dedication. This shines true before, during, and after any particular project he's working on.

On Steve, the Photographer--Steve has the ability to be equal parts professional, talented, and a blast and a half, all rolled into one big ball of awesome photographer. I had sufficiently stalked his work prior to our meeting, so I went into the shoot knowing that we would create some kick ass photos, but what really blew me away was when he was open to my creative input, and worked to weld my thoughts with his brilliant concepts. We put our heads together and stepped outside our comfort zones to see what kind of magic we could create. Some of the photos weren't great, as will happen when experimenting, but the multiple that did turn out, made up for and went above and beyond what we had hoped to achieve. I am on the edge of my seat, waiting in anticipation for our next shoot. On Steve and Jodi, the hosts--In my twenty-something years of living, I have never been in the company of a better, more hospitable couple. I literally (and selfishly) took over half of their house during my weekend trip to Framingham, and from what I could hear, they did no complaining--only welcoming with open arms. I had a couple of the best nights of sleep ever ever, on their amazing, cloud-like couch and Jodi spoiled me with her iced coffee and homemade mac and cheese. Do not stay with Stevie and Jod if you have lives that you must return to--it will rip your heart out to say goodbye to them.

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've had a love for art and photography from a pretty young age. When I was a kid I was given a Polaroid camera as a gift. Even with no film I constantly took pictures of everything. As I grew older I stuck with it and eventually realized that I just might have a skill worth sharing with people!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly shoot content for modeling portfolios.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't settle on anything unless you are 100% satisfied with the end result.
