Guitar Lessons : I had a good experience with Andy. I had to stop lessons for a long out of town trip. Plan on starting back in the spring 2014. I had a mixed bag of guitar skills and he was able to focus on what I needed to learn and show me how to do it. Thanks
I've been taking guitar lessons at Page Music for over two years. They've do a great job of tailoring the instruction to my interests, abilitiy and available time as a working adult. The instructors that I have dealt have been skilled and very personable. In addition, they offer monthly jam supervised jam sessions for groups of students at several different ability levels. These are a blast. The general atmosphere is structured enough to provide a challenge, but low key and pressure free. I would highly recommend both the private lessons and jam sessions to any adult looking to begin or resume music lessons.
Johnny is an excellent cello teacher and a phenomenally skilled cellist! He is very thoughtful and pays close attention to the student's technique for both fingering and bowing. Johnny gives great anecdotes and analogies to illustrate how to think about playing a certain song or bow strokes for a certain section, for example. He is fun and patient and readily adapts to what the student needs. I highly recommend Johnny as a cello teacher, for cello students of all levels!
My daughter started receiving violin lessons from Ms. Thayer as a recommendation from her 6th grade orchestra teacher that was 2 years ago. Ms. Thayer is very patient and a great teacher. She explains notes and fingering in a way so each student understands. Ms Thayer is very accommodating regarding scheduling and involves both parents and students at the end of the semester recitals. Whether you are just learning or need some refreshers she is the person to go to.
My 11 y.o. daughter has been taking cello lessons with Tim for the past 2 months. Tim has a great energy and enthusiasm for teaching music. He is a lot of fun, has a very positive, upbeat attitude, but also great feedback about improving technique that “clicks” with my daughter. His passion is contagious- we recommend Tim highly!
I have been taking cello lessons now for the past 2 1/2 months and as a beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, I have to say that my experience has been wonderful. Denise Martel Bovie is a stellar instructor. I am a retired teacher so I appreciate how prepared she always is and how skillfully she organizes our lessons. She has a gift for delivering instruction in a clear and mindful manner and gracefully coaches me through the more challenging aspects of learning to play. I am thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Denise and look forward to them every week. She is a gem!
Excellent piano teacher, both my boys, 9 & 7yrs old enjoyed their lessons and made pretty good progress. Most of all, they enjoyed making music! Many thanks to a great teacher!
My son started taking cello lessons with Elena when he was 9. He has progress from being a complete novice to being able to play Vivaldi's Cello Concerto in C Major in just over a year. She emphasizes good posture and hand positions, which are very important to building long term success. Elena has a very calm and patient teaching style. She is an active cello performing artist herself, so she can demonstrate the technique or musicality during the lesson to make it easier for my son to follow. I highly recommend her!
I've know Elisa for seven years when we met at Yale School of Music. She is very passionate about teaching and all her students have come along way since they started taking lessons with her. She really knows how to adjust to every student and to bring the best out of them. Her commitment to music is unique and her sensitivity and musicianship makes her an outstanding cellist and musician. I recommend her tremendously.
My first lesson with Yingjun Wei was more than I could have imagined. She is a delightful person with an immense amount of knowledge about the cello. She is a masterful teacher and after only one hour I felt that I had accomplished many things. I look forward to our next lesson!! thank you Yingjun.
Joe is a wonderful teacher. My son, Nathan, has had a few different cello instructors but Joe's enthusiasm and method of teaching made him really love the instrument. What sets Joe apart from other teachers is that he is able to identify where Nathan's playing can use the most improvement and give specific direction to ensure Nathan knows exactly what to focus on in between lessons. This has given Nathan the confidence to practice more on his own and he often can't stop talking about the great improvements he's recently made! I highly recommend Joe to any young cellist, beginner or advanced. He is always very professional and easy to work with, I really enjoy sitting in on the lessons each week. -Lisa S.
Eden is great!! I have no experience with music whatsoever and Eden has been extremely patient with me throughout the whole learning process. Here is a list of some things I think stand out about Eden's lessons. - She accompanied me to the instrument store to pick out a good cello to rent - flexible lesson scheduling and times, she also confirms all lessons by text the day before - emphasis on good technique and ear training although I am a beginning cello student, I believe that Eden has a lot to offer to students of any level
Renee got in contact with me immediately and provided me with an excellent piano/voice instructor for my 5 year old.
We used the Mozart Academy for our son's guitar lessons. The teacher was friendly & fun, the rates were competitive & he even got to participate in a recital. Highly recommend!
Kyung has provided me with the necessary details of playing the cello that I was looking for. He is also patient, kind, and personable.
Taking cello lessons from Vela was an amazing experience that has completely improved my cello playing. She's very knowledgeable about technique and has a plethora of exercises to hone skills that were invaluable to me. Vela's also just a great teacher who is very patient and will challenge but not overwhelm you. She always had fun new pieces for me to play and taking lessons from her really enhanced my musicianship. I would highly recommend her to a cellist at any level who wants to explore and refine their abilities.

Currently at my last year at Berklee College of Music, I've gained a lot of experience performing and recording in a variety of musical styles. I also have a lot of experience teaching and tutoring, both musical instruments and theory, as well as other areas of study.

Instructors have a degree from the Moscow Music Academy, a member of the Boston Civic Symphony, Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, Baroque Chamber Ensemble, Boston Duo, and Samantha Gillogly's Chamber Group. Beginners and those with cello and violin experience are both encouraged to call.
I teach cello lessons (from beginner to advanced) in the greater Boston area. I'm on the faculty at Community Music Center of Boston (South End), South Shore Conservatory (Hingham), Ipswich High School, my own private studio in Jamaica Plain, and during the summers at the Killington Chamber Music Festival. As a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Peabody Conservatory, and Johns Hopkins University, I have considerable experience teaching cellists to expand technical versatility and to discover for him/herself a lush, powerful, and deep cello sound, rich in overtones and nuanced to taste. I recently relocated to the Boston area after several years studying and performing throughout Europe. I apprenticed with Anner Bylsma in Amsterdam, finished postgraduate studies in London, and studied independently as a DAAD Scholar to Germany. I perform widely, both with ensembles in the area and as a recitalist farther afield.
