In order to keep my students and their families safe during the current coronavirus crisis I have moved all my guitar and ukulele lessons to Skype and FaceTime until further notice.
For in-person guitar and ukulele lessons I teach out of my home studio in Leominster, MA. If you're far away from me and still interested in trying out lessons please don't hesitate to reach out for lessons on Skype or FaceTime!

I can't say enough great things about Matt. As the most important moment of my life to date, I was nervous about everything leading up to my proposal. Matt put my mind completely at ease when it came to background music. Tremendously professional and flexible, Matt was very communicative in the weeks ahead of the big day. He offered to play songs that were important to us, and he also sent me several of his music clips to choose from. On the day of the proposal, he discretely texted me to let me know that he was in place and ready for our arrival. Perfectly timed and always in tune with the mood and importance of the event, Matt played movingly and was a big part of my fiancee's tears :) As if that weren't enough, Matt graciously set up a video camera to capture the moment. Overall phenomenal playing and so happy I worked with him!

Matt was an intergral part of making our wedding day absolutely perfect. When I first reached out to Matt approximately a little over a year before our wedding date, I got such a prompt and professional response. Each communication from then on, whether it was e-mail or a phone call, was just as prompt and courteous. I was immediately impressed with the level of customer service I received and remained so throughout the duration of our contact. As part of the package we purchased, we got to choose two songs for him to learn. He learned them quickly and perfectly--now we can say we have unique, one-of-a-kind processional and recessional music that we've never heard at any other wedding, thanks to Matt. It goes without saying that being able to have such personalized memories means a great deal. Additionally, I got so many compliments on his high level of talent and widely varying song selection. We could not be more pleased with Matt's artistry, attention to detail, and professionalism. We would certainly hire him again (and again)!

I was inspired to take jazz guitar lessons after watching Matthew teach my son to play the bass guitar. I was especially impressed by his ability to create individualized lessons for a 46 year old woman and a 9 year old boy. Intuitively, it seems, his lessons considered our personalities, learning styles, music preferences and our expectations based on how intently we wanted to study the guitar. His patience is admirable and his teaching style encourages and inspires to keep learning and playing.

Matthew performed the music for our daughter's August 2015 wedding ceremony in Newport, RI. Impressed from the first communication with him, Matthew was consistently professional, prompt in responding to inquiries and not least, patient as he waited for our final music selection. His has a broad, and no doubt growing repertoire to choose from. His artistry was the perfect compliment to a wonderful ceremony.

Matthew performed at my mother's memorial service; he was professional, thoughtful, able to work with the minister, flexible when we changed the venue because of weather. He both played and sang well. Don't hesitate to hire him.
