Kids enjoyed the show. Malik was on time, professional and did a wonderful job. I would hire him again and recommend him for others. -Private City Club Manager
Matt Roberts was fantastic at my daughter's sixth birthday party. He was excited about having such a large audience of 14 children plus several parents. He performed tricks that amazed everyone at every age group. I would definitely recommend him highly to anyone considering hiring him. He was friendly, professional & punctual. He also took command of the kids when they started getting a bit rowdy in a friendly way and they listened. The kids and adults both loved him!
Excellent speaker. She had the audience rolling in laughter from some of her humorous stories.
Carrie was one of the best speakers I've heard in a long time. She had the perfect amount of humor and empathy weaved into her talk. I got great feedback about her from the audience afterwards.
Rob's energy and passion for what he does are clear right away. He always has a positive outlook and will help you find the silver lining in every situation. When I first spoke with him, I was having some trouble being underappreciated at work. Rob offered sound advice and was always there for me when I needed him. Highly recommend Rob as a life and business coach, motivational speaker and all of the above!
Jim Bouchard presented at the PMI Mass Bay Chapter Professional Development Day - He was our keynote speaker and conducted one of the 4 hour workshops. Feedback from participants was very positive! His presentation was relevant to project managers and they walked away feeling motivated. Jim is an engaging speaker. He connects with the audience right from the start and captures and maintains their attention through a variety of stories, statistics and by sharing his knowledge.
David is an amazing speaker who really touched a lot of our students at Bartlett High school. His personal journey and the stories he shares help to motivate students and to realize that everyone has struggles and everyone has pain, but it's how they deal with it and learn from it. He is full of passion, power, and enthusiasm. He is an excellent speaker and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a motivational speaker, especially for students!
Just started meeting with him. I found him to be attentive, positive and knowledgeable.
To whom it my concern: I had the great fortune of a serendipitous introduction to Ms. Iafrate during a marketing program to develop an outreach campaign. We had a simple phone call exchange. I hung up I said to myself “either that woman is a direct descendant of PT Barnum or I just got off the phone with one of the most authentic, sincere and dynamic women that ever came across the bow of Grab The Torch” I was so impressed, and to a certain degree intrigued and curious to meet her, I scheduled a lunch. I was delighted that it was the latter. After lunch, I knew she would be invited to speak at our 2016 Boston Institute. As the founder of a Leadership, Ethics, Empathy and Philanthropy Institute every speaker and panelist that I select must fit perfectly with our mission, so you can imagine how careful I am in the process. This was a very good decision. Ms. Iafrate was the final speaker of the day. She followed The John Hancock/Boston Marathon and WGBH/William Lowell of the Lowell Institute. The pervious speakers delivered great content, but it had been a very long day for the girls. She had been sitting in the audience surveying and getting a pulse of the day, along with the ‘temperature’ of the girls. Even the most seasoned and professional speakers find that time of day, combined with being a first-time presenter a tough and intimidating time slot. She walked on stage and in an almost unimaginable way, immediately flipped a switch unleashing excitement and engagement in a thoughtful and meaningful way. She was prepared and ready to provide a launching pad for the girls. The presentation moved along at a pace that stimulated reflection and participation, without losing them for a second. She drew them in, opened their minds to new ideas and processes. She gave them a clearer lens to view themselves and others around them. She then turned the tables and unleased them. The room was abuzz with laughter and excitement, accompanied by a purposeful call to action. The execution was flawless. I, without any reservation or hesitation wholeheartedly recommend and endorse Ms. Iafrate. I think the following statements directly from the girls are more powerful than anything I could ever say. “The way Ms. Iafrate connected with us and spoke to us like equals made me truly want to absorb everything she said. Her ability to successfully communicate her tips in a succinct and sometimes humorous manner is what makes her unforgettable. Forever leaning in” “I never thought two words (lean in) would ever have such a profound impact on me. It wasn’t the phrase, but how it was delivered to me. Ms. Iafrate open the door to a new and enlighten way to lead my life. My favorite speaker of the week at GTT” Dave Aldrich Founder and CEO Grab The Torch email@example.com
Silicon Valley is populated with exceptional people. But, even among these stars, Joanie Bigwood shines brighter and embodies an entirely new level of creative storytelling, cerebral hilarity, and audience engagement. Last summer, I hosted an event for over 100 Toastmasters and their families and friends. Toastmasters is an organization that helps people master public speaking and most of the attendees at our event were long-time members who have seen a lot of speeches. For entertainment we had a monk in full orange monk regalia who taught us a series of collaborative exercises and games, a nuclear engineer/ecstatic dancer who showed us how to do Contact Improv, Miss Ethiopia who gave an inspirational speech and led us through a Zumba session, and Joanie Bigwood who won our hearts with the most unique talk/performance of the night! Joanie wowed the crowd as she simultaneously juggled a series of balls, representing different stages of parenthood, while she gave an introspective and enlightening talk that included one of the most honest and funniest rap songs about raising kids that I have ever heard. She danced, she sang, she juggled, and she gave a speech that made me laugh and cry. No one could take their eyes off of her and at the end of the performance she got a standing ovation (from a really discerning crowd). People were still talking about her at the end of the night, wanting to know more about her and where they could go to see her perform again! Joanie Bigwood was the star of our event and I would recommend her to infinity and beyond!
March of 2013 I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jacqui Senn at the Repowering Women: Knowledge IS Power conference event with South Central Alliance of Churches. Jacqui joined me and other motivational speakers as a Keynote Speaker who's topic of address was Identifying & Surviving Abuse. Though often times this subject is challenging to tackle Jacqui did it with such grace, strength, passion, and pose until there was barely a dry eye in the house. Jacqui is a professional speaker with an empowering courageous story to share with others who have walked a mile in her shoes. I was impressed with Jacqui, her testimony, and her professionalism. If you are looking for an awe-inspiring speaker I would recommend Jacqui Senn every time.
Aaron is a dynamic and energetic speaker who within minutes had our students hooked on his positive message and thought-provoking questions. He spoke to the students about believing in themselves and challenges them all to visualize their great qualities. He has also done performances and sang at our graduation ceremonies for the past two years. Not only is his motivational speaking great, but he is just a real, compassionate and caring person. His dedication to supporting youth is inspiring.
Dale, Karen, and Sharon are amazing motivational speakers - funny, engaging, and smart. They weave stories into the topic that engages the audience and makes it easier to understand the information they are communicating. Ive heard them speak many times about small business development, marketing, work life balance and they are always on point and great.
When I read "I Call Myself Earth Girl" I was fascinated with the story of how a husband and wife were trying to comprehend a crazy life experience. The descriptive words hooked me and the plot reeled me in so quickly that I couldn't put it down. I just had to figure out the mystery! I must say, I didn't see what was coming, so when it did I was deeply affected. Jan Krause Greene is an amazing author, a very articulate activist for the well-being of earth and expresses her concerns about Mother Earth in such a way that you see them as your concerns too.
