FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is competitive. Reviews from previous customers confirm that the pricing was fair. There is some uncertainty in quoting a project to actual costs due to variables that are impossible to predict. Costs of changes are discussed as they arise and agreed upon.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact to discuss the project is usually by text or phone. A time for me to look at the project if large is arranged. Smaller projects can often be agreed upon without a separate trip for an estimate. A deposit of approximately one third of the total projected cost is collected to buy materials and begin to cover labor costs. A second one third payment is collected at the halfway completion of the job. A final payment is made upon completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
On the job training primarily. I constantly review building codes and best practices from a number of sources and follow all standard guidelines for each type of project. I maintain my Home Improvement Contractor License every 24 months.
