I was vague about what I wanted and Cathy put in a beautiful garden for me. I love it!Jun 30, 2018Verified
Cathy saved us this spring! Due to an illness and family emergency this fall, we were not able to properly prep our beds this fall. Then when spring came, we were overwhelmed with weeds and being novice gardeners, we just couldn’t do it alone! Cathy did a beautiful job weeding and laying mulch, and she gave thoughtful feedback about why she left certain things blooming or what we should trim back. I think we will have to have her back again next year! Highly recommendMay 26, 2018Verified

Cathy did a wonderful job in replacing my front gardenOct 21, 2017Verified
C Murray is great to work with! She listens (seems rare these days) and reviews it as she does the work. She is very knowledgeable about the plants she is working with, spots problems and fixes them. She arrives on schedule, and works efficiently. I am very pleased with the results of her day’s work, and look forward to working with Cathy again in the spring.Nov 1, 2019Verified
Although we didn't need to officially hire Cathy, she provided incredible advice with regards to our issue and helped us solve our problems. She is incredibly caring and truly looks out for others.Sep 28, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It is not actually possible in this trade to give a quote on a job unseen, so while Thumbtack has somewhat set that expectation, it is, for me important to always begin with an onsite consultation at no cost. Therefore, when I respond, it allows you, the potential client to know that I am able and available to do that particular job and the proceeding conversation will be to schedule a time for that initial meeting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Typically I meet for an initial consult with the client. We walk the property together and discuss the scope of the project. I then create a proposal to include scope of work and estimated cost, once that has been agreed on and signed, we sign a contract and a time estimate for work to begin. A proposal is just that, it is an initial take off to facilitate discussing in more detail what the outcome expectations are and how best to reach those outcomes. It is as much a tool for discussion as it is a way to ballpark costs. Job scheduling is an inexact science being weather dependent and job dependent and I can usually give an accurate two week window when we first meet, but it always slightly subject to change as I work one job at a time. When one is complete I move to the next. I communicate any changes or exact dates as we get to the close of each preceding job.
