Drum Lessons with Sam Ward
About this pro
Teaching somebody how to play the drums is not like teaching somebody algebra. There are no rules, and there is no "right" or "wrong" way. Also, playing drums is not a matter of technicalities... There are some involved, but they are irrelevant unless they have been applied in conjunction with music and creativity - and that is what I do. Simply put: I love music, I love to play drums, and I love to teach.

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I still study privately when I can with various drum teachers and friends in the Berklee community. I also perform on the instrument at least 200 times a year, which keeps me on the cutting edge!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I love music. I would incessantly tap rhythms as a child, and the moment I sat down and played a groove with a bass player, and felt the two of us become one within the music, I knew it was my destiny to do this forever.
- What types of customers have you worked with? Most commonly I teach private drum set instruction.
