What a find! Rhea helped me declutter a family office that my husband took over for his business. Rhea definitely had her work cut out for her... we had years (and I mean years!) of personal items and information mixed in with my husband's work. Rhea was patient and calm as she sorted through these important documents with us. She even created a new organizing system for us, so we wouldn't end up in the same situation Thanks to Rhea, our office space feels good. Rhea is a pleasure to work with! She has a very gentle approach; she didn't pressure me to get rid of things, but started with simply organizing what was there (in my basement). She organized the boxes and "stuff" that was there, and after that was done and space was created it became clearer to me what I could let go of. At that point, Rhea didn't stand over me and coach me as to what to decide, but worked on other things while I sorted through smaller things myself, making decisions about what to do. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?As I like to say, "Decluttering is half the price of therapy and twice as effective." Prospective clients will be able to find declutterers who charge less, but they will not likely find someone who works as quickly and efficiently as I do. Therefore, you'll pay for fewer hours!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We usually connect on the phone to discuss the scope of the project -- is it just one room? A basement? An entire house? A file cabinet? Then I explain that we will handle virtually every object and make a decision about it -- will you keep it? will you let it go? The process may sound time consuming, but once we begin working together for a few minutes, momentum takes over. It is amazing how much my clients accomplish in just a 2-hour session!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've read numerous books on feng shui and clutter, and I've been doing this work for many years.
