"For the past three years my high school aged son has taken piano lessons from Bulent. In all that time he has been consistently patient, kind, enthusiastic and inspiring. Bulent used every minute to provide the best instruction, correction and encouragement. His love of music is evident as he often shared suggestions and links for video and live performances. His rates are quite reasonable for individual instruction and he is accommodating to scheduling conflicts. I recommend him unreservedly! I have read some of the other positive reviews of Bulent and I can attest to the truthfulness of all of them - there is no exaggeration. Bulent is a remarkable human being and a wonderful teacher." Amanda patiently guided me through the basics of piano for 2 years. She answered every question calmly and thoughtfully, from the basic "where does my hand go again?" to "who invented the piano?" Every lesson was tailored to my needs and ability. I never felt intimidated by her, and she was always a pleasure to work with. It's cathartic playing piano, since it's another way to connect your mind and body. I highly recommend taking lessons with her! I bet she'd work well with children, too.

I have been taking piano lessons from Marietta since October 2014 at her studio in Watertown, MA. I am a thirty something year professional who decided to learn piano and have been looking for a piano teacher for a while until finally found Marietta on Thumbtack. Upon meeting her I realized that she is the one and my search is over. Marietta is a highly professional piano teacher, she is patient with beginner students like me and very passionate about teaching. She has students at all ages and levels. She highly emphasizes on correct coordination and technique and make sure you have adopted the right hand skills before she moves on to the next lesson. She is very nice, supportive and approachable and you can always ask any questions you might have. I live and work far from Watertown, but I think piano lessons with Marietta is totally worth the 15 mile commute.

I've been taking guitar lessons from Mark Connors for about 3 years. Having not played since my early twenties, at 60 years old I decided to look for a music teacher. Since I only had played rhythm guitar, my goal was to learn lead guitar and improve what little skills I had. Mark has a huge amount of experience, patience, and musical talent. I always look forward to each lesson, and because of Mark's patience and friendly approach, my enthusiasm and desire to improve has increased. Any song or technique that I need help with, Mark has the answer. No matter what level, if you are looking for a professional, helpful music teacher, look no further.

My son has been taking piano lessons with Lenae for the past 5 years and we have been very happy with her. As he is approaching his teenage years, it's been a bit of a struggle to keep him interested but Lenae works hard to keep him engaged. She tries to find music he prefers while keeping him progressing musically. She is very patient and has a gentle manner with my son. Lenae also provides thorough and useful feedback on a regular basis. I would highly recommend Lenae if you are seeking piano lessons for your child or yourself (she has adult students too).

It was a pleasure to take piano lessons with Don in his studio. He is professional, organized and kind! I was given a binder to help organize homework, repertoire. But I had to take a break from lessons for personal reasons. I think I will return to them soon next year! And Don will definitely be one of my top choices.

I have taken guitar lessons from Alan Donati for a number of years in order to better understand music. Being a weathered rock/blues drummer myself, I can attest that Alan is a very accomplished musician and seasoned music teacher who learned his craft via years of playing in rock, blues and jazz bands as well as attending Berklee as a solid foundation. Alan can teach a number of instruments well such as guitar, bass and piano alongside incorporating music theory with the practical applications. He is very adapt with technology as well as “old school”. I have seen Alan teach many students with great patience with tailored attention to the particular student’s interest. Some veteran musicians can only play well but not teach. However, Alan can obviously do both. And so I am giving Alan an outstanding review and rating.

I have known Angela for six years and she is kind to her students and very patient. She is very knowledgeable about the piano and her students really enjoy her lessons. She works very hard to make sure that her students continue growing and learn to love the piano. i have enjoyed each lesson with her.

My son took beginner piano lessons from Fiona last year. He is a very sensitive boy and was nervous about learning an instrument for the first time, but Fiona put him at ease right away. She has a sweet and earnest teaching style, and explains new concepts in a way that's welcoming and easy to understand. I know her willingness to teach him whatever music he wanted to learn went a long way towards keeping his attention on the piano and away from the iPad. We always looked forward to our lessons with her!

Michael Joseph was a piano instructor at my university. I took lessons with him because he was recommended by one of my friends. In two semesters, I went from barely knowing where keys were, to playing one of my favorite songs. Prof. Joseph helped me be more patient with myself, and tackled those areas I needed to improve. He is very passionate about what he does, and very knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend Michael as an instructor.

Ivan was absolutely wonderful. He was very accomodating to my schedule and was always very quick to respond. I am unfortunately unable to continue my lessons due to my own schedule restrictions, but I highly recommend Ivan for any new piano learners and I will be sure to continue lessons with Ivan in the future whenever my schedule allows!

Yvonne is a wonderful and patient piano teacher who taught piano to my daughters through high school graduation. They looked forward to going to piano lessons each week. Even though I heard them practice often, I was always amazed at how much they progressed at each recital. I highly recommend Yvonne as a Piano teacher!

I took lessons when I was very young and learned how to read music. I stopped playing for many years and ten started started picking it up again in college. When I studied abroad I took a piano lesson twice a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I continued the lessons in school when I got back to te US. It has been two years since I've had a lesson but have tossed the idea around of going to back to school for music. I am looking to learn more classical pieces and improve my technique in playing.

Hi there. I am very interested in piano lessons. I'm an adult who understands music but am self-taught at the piano. I have my Bach. of Music in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory. I teach chorus and general music, have my own voice studio, and music direct for a bunch of community theatres in the area-not trying to sound cocky, just want to give you an idea where I'm coming from. In order for me to do what I want to do-play in pits for shows, take my music directing career to the next level-I need to improve my piano skills. I would like to primarily focus on Broadway music please. I feel like my case in very unique and may not be for everyone, which I totally get. If you could please share your thoughts I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
