Deb Goldstein is like no other coach. For one thing, she makes you feel smarter than you think you are! Most coaches that I’ve known, let you discuss your challenges or problems and then they proceed to tell you what they think you should do to resolve them. Deb doesn’t tell you what to do. Instead she really listens to what you’re describing and then asks you relevant and pointed questions, questions that make you think. At the same time, she is guiding you through a process that ultimately leads YOU to decide the course of action that is best for you. When YOU make the decision, you are much more committed to the solution. I know this from personal experience.

I was initially nervous to meet with a life coach, however, after meeting with Jane I realized it was the best decision I have made for myself in a long time. She creates a plan to help address your personal and professional goals and genuinely cares about her clients. I would highly recomend booking an appointment with Jane for career goals, life coaching skills, or any additional professional aspirations.

Rose Siple was my spiritual guide through Thought Alchemy's 20 Week Co-Creating Pathing journey towards building my life and ultimate long term goal of a to that I would truly love to live, but also as one I loved living, here and now. My transformation including healing of my own inner turmoil but also inter-personal healing with others in both my personal and professional life. Only through understanding my own perspective as well as opening, acknowledging, and appreciating other's perspective's in any given situation with love and compassion I learned that communication was not only possible but necessary and essential. Reflecting back now, I can see the dramatic difference in my approach to new challenges and conflicts where I once approached with fear, insecurity, and anxiety are now met with confidence, self-assuredness and flexibility. Loving my life now, here, today is so much simpler and flows so much smoother with greater ease now that I no longer struggle against changes but accept gracefully with optimism. I can only add this choice, my choice to freely accept and embrace which was presented and offered by the Universe, God, Infinite presence or whatever whatever belief anyone has, was a welcomed one I'll forever be thankful for!

I have been working out on my own for the past several years and recently found that I had plateaued. i was doing the same things over and over and never reaching my desired fitness goals. I was looking for a new challenge. If you are ready to make a commitment to training, Ryan from Cross Climb is the place to check out. I was impressed with the thorough interview and individual plan for my fitness. At 58, I wondering If i could do this again. Ryan assured me that I could. He will works out an individualized plan to help you realize your fitness goals. He wants to understand your past so he can help you move to the future. Ryan has a passion for fitness, nutrition and good health and has come up with a program that will challenge you. He has a positive attitude towards his clients and is willing to take the time so that they can get the most out of the experience. He specializes in working with clients who are in the 40’s -60’s and is very patient. The workouts are challenging and unique. I had interviewed two other fitness coaches before Gena and what I loved about Gena from the start was her willingness to listen and customize a plan based on my personal needs, circumstances and abilities. She coaches, encourages, checks in and keeps the experience positive providing the little extra push needed to stay focused on fitness goals that can easily be compromised with a busy to-do list.

When it comes to wellness, I needed a person who was willing to tell me what I needed to hear; not what I wanted to hear. Matt does this in a way that is constructive, rather than painful. He has supported me in my journey to finding a better version of myself. Through his coaching, I have revolutionized my nutrition. Thanks to these changes, our family is full of great eaters- other moms are honestly jealous about the balanced, healthy meals that my kids enjoy. Before working with Matt, I hadn't ever really exercised. Now, I weigh less than I did when I was in high school and have a rockin' mom bod. I am powerful! This change was slow and while it wasn't always easy, I now have a routine that I implement in my daily life. Honestly, I enjoy it! The biggest way that I have changed is in my mindset. With Matt's support, I have started a journey that changes the way that I look at things. I am enough; I am empowered; I am happy. To be honest, I'm not an easy client. As a working mom and a teacher, I tend to feel like I've already researched it all and found solutions- but none of them worked! Thanks to his commitment to education, Matt is able to speak the "language of moms" and helped me to truly hear what he was saying.

It is my pleasure to share my thoughts about Tamika Fowler. We worked together at a financial consulting company where she served as our "HR Guru". She was an integral part of the operations team, and always brought a positive light to any project she worked on. Tamika displayed extraordinary professionalism, dedication, responsibility and commitment to her work, and had the unique ability to identify and solve problems. Even under pressure, and during stressful deadlines, Tamika was mature, respectable, and patient. She is highly motivated and organized, and has good written and verbal communication skills. She works well with others, both internal and external clients, and is very helpful. I am excited that her next goal is law school, and hope she is hired so that she can make that happen.

Cate focuses on positive messages and practicing safely within your own physical limitations by modifying and adjusting poses to your needs. Cate makes you realize that Yoga is truly for everyone and all are welcome!

Everyone talks about work life balance when the reality is our work is integrated into our life, not balanced with it. Pete's ability to add value in everything I brought to him, even if it was not something he had experience in, makes him a great asset to have on you team! Pete helped me with a variety of different projects and situation in my professional role, volunteer role, and personal life. Pete's greatest value to me was his ability to speak into any area of my life and add value or give me clarity. Conversations with him helped me process through tough leadership decision at work and helped me create better personal disciplines in my life. If you are looking for help in one area of your life, Pete can help. If you are willing to open up about every area of you life...hold on because Pete will give you the candid feedback to take everything to the next level!

We met at my place and worked out for about 45 minutes. She brought her own equipment and tools like music, resistance bands and knee pads for us. Before we began exercising we discussed what areas I want to work on and how I preferred to be trained. She would show me and then ask me to try the exercise as well. I asked that she work out along side me and that made me feel more comfortable. After one or two reps, she would critique my form and then we'd continue. She encouraged me to try these exercises on my own as well.

        About

I motivate others to be the best they can be. I give life tools and skills to cope with loss and suffering, bullying and stressful situations to help the cope in a positive way. The three main goals I want someone to learn about themselves is what I learned from life, such as the following: * Treat others how you want to be treated * Love yourself * Accept your erroneous zones and learn from them and move forward in life The main idea of Mathenia's Positive Corner is sometimes life will bring you to a halt, and you have to be the one to say "enough is enough" to truly make a positive change in your life.

        Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

        What is a life coach?

A professional, accredited life coach works with people to help them make important changes in their life, either growing in their profession or changing gears in their personal lives. They help clients turn their dreams or wishes into realistic, attainable goals. They guide people through the process of making life changes by helping them evaluate the steps they must take to reach a particular goal, then help them decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible. A life coach acts as a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Unlike a therapist, a life coach doesn’t help solve problems from your past — they’re focused on helping you move forward with new ways of acting and thinking that will help you reach your goals. Some people specialize in particular types of life coaching, including life balancing coaches, small business coaches, executive coaches and personal finance coaches. Some meet clients in person, while others hold consultations over the phone.

Regardless of which type of life coach you’re interested in, make sure the person holds an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential. There are three tiers of credentials: Associate, Professional and Master, which require coaching experience ranging from 100 hours to 2,500 hours.

How much does a life coach cost?

A life coach helps clients set and reach professional and personal goals, develop positive habits, and deal with stress. Some people meet with a life coach once or twice, while others form an ongoing professional relationship, meeting regularly in person or on the phone. The average national cost to meet with a life coach ranges from $80 to $130 an hour. Some coaches offer per-session pricing, especially for one-time meetings; expect to pay an average of $100-$125. People who want to work with a coach over a period of time to explore life transitions, career growth or lifestyle changes may be able to get discounted pricing in a package. For example, three 60-minute sessions cost an average of $300, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $350, and four 60- to 90-minute sessions plus unlimited contact between sessions cost an average of $400. Some specific types of coaching, such as relationship or marriage coaching, cost more than standard life coaching. For instance, three 60-minute relationship coaching sessions cost an average of $500, four 60-minute sessions cost an average of $550, and six 60- to 90-minute sessions cost an average of $650 when purchased as a package. Training and experience can also affect the cost of hiring a life coach. An Associate Certified Coach, who holds a certification that requires only 60 hours of training and 100 hours of coaching experience, will charge less than a Master Certified Coach, who typically has at least 200 hours of training and 2,500 hours of coaching experience.

        Why get a life coach?

People of all ages and in all careers have called in a life coach. Life coaches are accredited professionals who can help you figure out the tangible changes you can make in your life to reach your goals; they can even help you turn your dreams into goals, if you’re not sure where to go next. A life coach can also help people find their purpose in life. Life coaching clients often have an idea of what they want to do, such as help people or work with animals, but don’t know how to turn that passion into a career. A life coach can help clients work through the options to find a clear path with concrete steps that lead to an attainable goal. A life coach can also help clients make a major career change, such as starting a new business. Life coaches can help clients develop better habits that will make them more successful, acting as an accountability partner. Life coaches also often guide their clients through major transitions in life, such as a career change or other stressful situations that are made easier with guidance from a neutral third party.
