Though I was not new to yoga, I was returning after an injury to my knee and wanted to get some tips on alternative techniques to further my practice, without re-injuring myself. When I booked a private session, Allison was so knowledgeable in offering and showing me many options that would work for me. She took the time to listen to my needs and respond with a caring attitude. In addition, when I returned to class the following week, Allison made a point of checking in to make sure what she had shown me was indeed working for me!
We hired Carmela to do yoga with a group of children during our bring your kid to work day. The kids had a blast and I think Carmela did too! She was very easy to work with, on time, and an overall pleasure! I would definitely hire her again! Thank you Carmela!!!
It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation for our Yoga Instructor at the YMCA, Cheryl Wolf. My first experience with Cheryl (as I was a complete novice to yoga) was that of warmth and immediate acceptance, no matter what level of practice (which for me, was at zero). She creates a nurturing, encouraging environment that allows everyone to grow at their own pace, in addition to inspiring each member to challenge themselves within their own practice. With the varying levels of expertise in the class, this effort could be daunting, but for Cheryl, it is comfortable and easy. I can truly say that no-one is left out, and everyone reaps the benefit of her instruction. Cheryl's teaching style is clear and meaningful, both in body and in spirit. Her well planned curriculum encompasses meditation, breathing, and yoga poses, where she is an active participant in all three. I have been to numerous other classes where this is not the case. In this way, Cheryl stands above all others and truly sets by example. Moreover, her message that yoga extends "off the mat" has been an inspiration to me personally and professionally. I am forever grateful for this powerful, profound message she has taught me, which is the true essence of yoga. I consider her a life mentor and an inspiration, and I give her my highest recommendation. Despina D.
Anita is a wonderful Yoga instructor. I always leave her class feeling restored and relaxed!
Sally is sincere and compassionate in her meditation teaching. She is keenly aware and sensitive. I felt a sense of relief and ease after my sessions. The gentle yoga was enough for me to stretch and loosen up. I highly recommend Sally for this work.
Lisa was very professional. She brought everything that was needed for the classes and made it easy and stress free. She was a wonderful teacher and I have already booked more classes with her. I highly recommend her especially for beginners.
I have been taking yoga classes with Paula 3-4 times a week for 4 years and it has totally changed my life. She is a dedicated teacher who always gives 100 percent. She modifies her classes for all levels of students so that everyone can benefit. I highly recommend Harmony Yoga.
Caitlyn was my very first yoga instructor and helped me to develop a love for the discipline. She is relatable, loving and compassionate—perfect in guiding you through any level of practice.
Being part of the "not-so-young" and "new-to-yoga" club, I find Cate's teaching style to be extremely helpful, encouraging, supportive and down-to-earth. Cate focuses on positive messages and practicing safely within your own physical limitations by modifying and adjusting poses to your needs. Cate makes you realize that Yoga is truly for everyone and all are welcome!
Transform your mind, body and spirit. Karen Kaplan, LMHC, NCC, ATR, RYT-500 began her career as a psychotherapist, earning degrees in psychology and expressive therapies and eventually in myofascial release, yoga, and integrative therapies with senior Iyengar teacher and physical therapist, Julie Gudmestad, David Vendetti and Richmond Dixon. Karen teaches and works with people of all ages. She has extensive experience teaching in studios and corporate settings, as well as working with individuals and groups who have physical injuries, joint pain, disabilities, Parkinsons disease, MS and auto immune diseases. In class, Karen draws from numerous traditions of yoga, to help build core strength, to discover the power of the breath, and to bring the body into its proper alignment through poses using props and hands-on instruction. She has found yoga to be the most profound in its capability to transform the body, as well as the spirit. Practicing yoga brings a deeper knowledge of the self and an acknowledgement of how we deal with others and the world around us. There are no expectations and no requirements, only the desire to be present. Come and discover your own flexibility and strength; sign up and learn how yoga can benefit you.
Take students through an enjoyable yoga class where they physically, emotionally and spiritually receive benefits.
Yoga means union or yoking. I teach yoga asana (postures and movement) and pranayama (breath) physical practices. These practices tone inner organs and systems, as well as the outer physical body. Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years. It is a natural past time for creating maximum potential for health and well-being. Rituals and meditation are also forms of practice I teach. If invited, I can give puja in your home, office, or studio invoking Ganesh. I am in continuous training and practice for offering puja and can offer this if I am empowered to. DRawing Sri Vidya chakras is a sweet past time for mental health. Meditation on three dimensional Sri Vidya chakra helps create maximum life happiness. This is something I can teach to you or your group.

Jen is an amazing yoga instructor- she challenges you without pressure or pushing you. Under her weekly instruction, I was able to gain strength and flexibility as well as a deeper focus on breathing and introspection. Her classes have great playlists and a fun flow.
