There’s a lot I could say about how great Jim McCoy is. Jim is just a guy that everybody loves. He is honest, encouraging, brilliant, and caring. I used his services for career coaching, and would love to hire him as a life coach in the future. I will speak about what I know from the career coaching sessions. He provides optional (but recommended) homework assignments that allows one to gather information about oneself, a career field, a work environment, etc. I always found those assignments enjoyable to do, and most of all, extremely helpful. I honestly thought I was going to be his most difficult client because of the wide variety of things that I love, but in reality he helped solidify that the healthcare field was right for me. I went to him wanting to be a Physician Assistant, and left with a confident decision to be a Nurse instead. He has helped me every step of the way, but constantly have reminded me that I’m the star, and that I’m the one that gets the credit. Jim is genuinely somebody that you’d want to be friends with in real life. It really doesn’t get better than him, so if you are as lost as I (thought) I was, allow him to illuminate your future.

I was really hesitant on having a life coach, convinced that there was nothing someone could tell me that I didn't already know. Jim focuses on making me think differently on what I do know, forcing me to change my perspective to a more positive one. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't a "telling me what to do situation" but more suggestive to how I could change what I already know. I highly recommend for anyone stubborn like myself to give Jim a try if u want to start changing things for the better and start to trust someone to help you do so.

FAQs

• What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  I offer solutions that work for each client. It might be a flat hourly fee for a few sessions, flexible pricing for a longer-term engagement, or a customized deal for e.g. text check-ins or whatever else the client might require.

• What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

  I have a consultation with new clients to establish that we're on the same page about what we're trying to accomplish, and that we'd be comfortable working together. Then I work with them to understand their circumstances and motivations, and together we start clarifying goals and making specific plans.

• What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

  I've got a bachelor's degree from Colgate University and certification from Martha Beck Life Coach Training. I also have decades of experience helping people do things better in various walks of life. For more, see the About page on my website.
