Jennifer was willing to meet our needs, and offered alternative options for training our dog to stay in the yard with her electric fence. It turns out we had a rechargeable collar that wasn't holding charge. We replaced the system and our dog is now staying in the yard again. I want to thank Jennifer for bearing with us through the process. Lynn
His Training With My Mollie, The Dog Is Like Magic. I Noticed My Mollie's Behavior Changes Just Over Night. Peter Is A Wonderful Trainer.
Theresa is doing great job on training my dog. She really loves dog. I can tell that she is fully engaged in training dogs. She treats dog as her little baby. I am very glad to have Theresa as my dog's trainer. She is patient and responsible. Both of I and my dog have learned a lot from her. Sprite learned to sit, down, and leave things. She becomes a polite puppy and starts to listen to my instruction. Although sometimes she is still a little bit hard to control, she had learned more that I have expected. I would like to keep touch with Theresa and let her teach Sprite more lessons. I am very appreciate for what Theresa have done.
Amanda is doing a great job helping me with my dog Darla's training. Amanda comes to my house for the sessions which I really like. I hired her for 4 sessions and have had 3 sessions so far with the 4th session scheduled in a few weeks. I adopted Darla from the SPCA and she came with a lot of baggage and fears that I keep discovering as things occur. Her biggest fears were people, noises, & other animals. Her fear was so great that she showed aggression (not towards me but towards the person, noise, or animal) which was worrisome for me because I wanted her to have a good quality of life with me. I've seen such an improvement in Darla's behavior already and we,be only had 3 sessions so far. She's learned quite a few commands, she is far less fearful of people, handles her fears of noises much better, & we're still working on her reaction to other animals but it has improved greatly. Amanda has suggested & shown me different options to try when these situations arise and they're working do well. All in all I'm very pleased with Amanda & the training sessions. I love the post session training notes because they help me to remember everything we covered during the session. I would highly recommend Amanda at Good Dogs to anyone who is having issues with their furry family members. Amanda is very knowledgeable, approaches everything with a positive attitude, uses positive reinforcement, and is so good & kind to my dog. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience.
I took Laila, my 10 week old Corgi, to Lisa to do her puppy program. Lisa was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. 8 to 12 weeks is a critical time in puppy development. The things they experience during this time, and how they experience them, shape their behaviors and attitudes as adults. Lisa used her expertise to facilitate many of these experiences in a constructive manner. Laila furthered her understanding of how to interact with other dogs appropriately and was encouraged to explore her environment and respond to new experiences with bravery. Laila was also started on a rigid feeding and bathroom schedule which was then provided to me in writing with great detail. A consistent schedule is essential for instilling house breaking habits in dogs. Lisa's experience and expertise is extensive and readily apparent. She was more than happy to answer all of my questions both during the program and in the time that has elapsed since it's completion. Laila has had minor behavioral set backs, and Lisa was there to walk me through corrective actions. Laila is now 16 weeks old and is doing great! I was able to use the things Lisa taught me to effectively continue Lailas training. The most important thing Lisa helped me understand is the way dogs think and learn. Understanding the way dogs learn is the difference between having a recipe and having a working knowledge. If this sounds like something your dog needs, I highly recommend that you contact Lisa because I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience.
My first experience with a private trainer for my pooch and I couldn't have asked for a better person. Sandy is professional yet down to earth, my dog, kokobutt, who is afraid of the world, loves her! "Aunty Sandy" is amazing at training and my dog has come a long way. I will continue to use her services and recommend her to anyone seeking assistance to train their dogs.
Very flexible, very clear about what I need to do and good instruction on training. I would recommend her to anyone.
So far Mike has provided us with the basic training techniques to train our 1 year old dog Bentley. In just 2 sessions she is learning the house rules. Thanks so much.
Katherine and Susan are the perfect team!!!! They were welcoming and caring and felt more like family when we dropped off our Boston Terrier (Mickey) We were nervous and hesitant because we had never done anything like this with previous pets. However we knew he needed some training to get him to be a more well rounded family member. They explained thoroughly what the train would consist of and gave us frequent updates. Mickey was also taking some medication for some staples he had put in a few days prior and with Susan’s many years of veterinary technician training she was able to monitor and administer his medicine to ensure he was receiving the correct dosages each day. They didn’t mind us calling to check in just when we missed him and when WE needed reassurance that we were doing what was best for Mickey. They walked us through his diet, training tools and that it’s 90% play and 10% training. Their home is filled with love for their animals and when we picked him up a week later he was so excited to show us what he had learned but he also treated Susan and Katherine as if they were his new best friends and that filled us with such joy and a sigh of relief. We can’t be more thankful and grateful for their teaching and their love for what they do. We have even scheduled some one on one private sessions and an additional week of training in the future. A++++ and 2 Paws UP
Yvonne is AWESOME !!! We adopted 2 shelter dogs and found Yvonne to help us understand them. We have had 4 other dogs, went through training with all of them but we have learned so much more from Yvonne!! We HIGHLY recommend her she knows her stuff !!!!
We have an older Doberman and a new puppy Doberman, Krystal was excellent. We really like her style of training and we've already noticed improvements after only one session. We plan on continuing to use her services!
I have been working for lucky dogs daycare for about a year and a half. My experience with lucky dogs has been a great one. We are still a growing business and are building up our facility to be the best it can be. We are a full service daycare facility, but we also do boarding, training, grooming and we have our new retail shop with all sorts of goodies for your pups. I love being able to bring my dog Buffy in for a groom. She's older so she doesn't care for daycare, but she loves coming to Lucky Dogs for a good pampering by Jane. All of our groomers are great at what they do and our experts in their field. They have been grooming for many many years. The best part about working for lucky dogs would have to be the dogs. We have a really good group of dogs that come pretty much everyday. At lucky dogs your dog isn't just another name on a list, every staff member has their own favorites lol. And throughout the day each dog gets some one on one attention with their favorite staff member and vice versa. We take the time to get to know each dog and their behaviors, and try to cater to each dogs individual needs. So we can ultimately have a safer group of dogs to play with each day. We also have a really good group of staff members, some of them have been here for a couple years and a few have been here a little less. We really don't have a high turn around rate for staff like with most daycares. So our staff and especially the dogs are like family here.
We have just started training our dog with Steve and already see great progress.
She taught me everything I need to know about dog training. An outstanding instructor who can do anything from the simple basics to hard core problems with fido. Straightforward and a highly knowledgeable individual who will and can help with anything dog related. She puts the dog and their issues first and wants to help as much as she can sacrificing time and anything she can to try to help.
I went to Jezzie paws with a new 4 month old golden retriever who hadn’t had any training. Jessica is amazing. She trains in a loving and caring way using positive reinforcement. I would definitely recommend going to Jezzie paws for any kind of training. She can handle it all.
Not only has Jocelyn helped with training my new puppy Zac (which she is amazing at), she also came to my home two to three times a day while my family and I were away on February vacation. It was such an amazing relief to know my puppy was well taken care of, had consistent and amazing companionship throughout the day, and was taken on walks and provided meals. Jocelyn provided me with the much-needed sense of peace while I was away, she sent me pictures and videos during each visit, and was available to add drop-ins even at last minute notice. I would highly recommend all of her services to anyone who has a four-legged family member!!!!!
Otto is our 9-month-old, 100 pound Newfoundland who we were having a hard time training at home. He's loving and smart, but he can be stubborn when he thinks he can get away with it! We were introduced to Zach and Leila and quickly started their two-week, basic training course. We couldn't be happier with how things went! Otto is world's better at walking on the leash, greeting new people, sitting, laying down, staying in place, using his climb, and following the basic instructions every owner dreams of. They have taught us with patience and kindness and we have definitely seen the results in our big bear. He loved spending the day with them and their other furry clients. We cannot thank them enough and are excited to enter their advanced training course in a few months once we get in some more practice of these basic commands at home. Zach will even be stopping by to help us more with counter serving! Thank you so much Koda K-9 Services!
I’ve had an incredible experience at K9’s Training. I brought my dog here after adopting her because of her bite history. Joe, the head trainer was phenomenal. He knew his stuff! I decided on the board and train program because I was making her a service dog. She did a complete 180! She has become the most obedient dog and her temper has changed completly. More importantly, Joe trains YOU! He helps you understand your dog and how to become a better advocate for your dog and communicate with them better. I highly recommend K9’s.
I was nervous about bring my puppy Finn back to Boston after having a couple days of training in RI, but she helped me to feel more confident to take care of him and continue with training on my own for a few days. Her knowledge about dog behavior really helped me to under stand what I need to do to help my puppy understand me, and for me to understand him. I can't show enough gratitude that she drove all the way to Boston to help me, and I would recommend her to anyone dealing with training.

Hello there! My name is Alyssa and I am a professional dog trainer. I currently work at a dog training facility. At this facility I train and rehabilitate dogs. I have trained dogs with all different temperaments and behavior issues (fear aggression, dog aggression, agression towards humans, separation anxiety). That being said, no dog is too much for me! Other than my work life, I love to hangout with my pup and go for hikes. I am currently enrolled in the criminal justice program at my college and hope that one day I can work for a federal agency or with the police K-9 unit. With my services, I will be able to do obedience training for an hour a day with your pup as I am caring for him/her. Your dog will also experience some awesome hiking trips! If you would like to know more about me or my services, just ask! I have plenty of references from clients that I would be happy to provide!
