Guitar Lessons
Bob Wolfman is the best teacher I've ever had! His approach is thourough and personalized. I've only had a few lessons so far and I've already learned a lot. Years of previous lessons from other instructors seeking a strong foundation had left me discouraged and cynical but now I am starting to feel hopeful and confident. I definitely foresee mysely taking lessons from Bob for a long time.

Guitar Lessons
I came to Bob for guitar lessons as a complete beginner. I was nervous about not knowing how to play, but Bob’s relaxed demeanor put me at ease. We started from the very beginning. In just one double lesson, he has already taught me basic music theory, strumming chords, and starting to play my favorite songs. I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made thus far and I look forward to my upcoming lessons BIGTIME. I’m actually playing the guitar now! 😊 Susanne Pedersen

Guitar Lessons
Bob Wolfman is the best teacher around! As a student of the Wolfman I have learned more than I ever did with any of my other prior teachers. He spends time carefully planning each lesson to fit my style and my needs. He is highly respected having worked with some of the biggest names like Larry Coryell (founding father of Rock and Jazz fusion), Chick Corea, Grover Washington. He has plenty to offer teaching beginners as well as experts.

Guitar Lessons
After playing the guitar for 45 years I decided to get take some lessons from one who knows guitar. I was fortunate to find Bob, the best guitarist I have ever sat across from, and the best teacher, too. In this first six months of lessons Bob has helped me to sharpen my attack, tighten up my rhythm, improve my ear, and add interest to my playing. My chord vocabulary, which I thought was pretty good coming in, has more than doubled, Bob has shown me how to use these chords, too, in a growing collection of interesting songs. Though I am interested in learning chord melody playing, Bob suggested I start out learning how to play the blues, since the blues are not only fertile ground musically but also a great way to work on expressive, clean playing. We have stressed the fundamentals, worked on correcting some bad habits, and I feel I am moving towards becoming a guitarist who can perform in front of people. Bob is an excellent guitar teacher.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do offer block discounts with increasingly larger discounts for longer term commitments. For example; 6 months = 10% discount - with 1 FREE lesson 9 months = 15% discount- with 2 FREE lessons at the end of 9 months! 12 months = 20% discount with 4 FREE Lessons at end of the 12 months!! I do bill for a minimum of a 4 lesson block at a time.......You pay for 4 one hour lessons in advance, and then every 4th. week for the next block of 4, one week in advance to the next block.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First step of the process - Determine the student's goals....... We do a consultation/orientation to actually know who the student is at the present time from a musical perspective. So, I ask for the following info; *Student's musical background/any prior experience learning an instrument or music theory in school, privately, camp, after school programs, etc.? * What music has the student had exposure to? *What style of music does the student enjoy and want to play? *What does the student hope to accomplish from lessons? *Is the student interested in pursuing music professionally or just for fun. Btw, ALL students are welcome! Total Beginners too! Once we have an understanding of where the student is at present, we can begin to formulate a sensible and realistic path to ensure the student moves forward to reach his or her goals. IMPORTANT!! - The student is aware of what the goals are, the learning process, what he/she will be studying and practicing, and what the end result will be. In other words.......Know WHERE you're going, and HOW you're gonna get there! ;-
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Grade school - sang and acted in school plays, and musical performances, concerts. Began playing clarinet. in the 6th grade I was chosen along with 25 other kids to go into the Orchestral/Band program in junior high school. I played oboe and clarinet. I began playing the guitar at age 11. Junior High School - began taking guitar lessons at age 13, performing in school concerts, talent shows, and formed my own band. High School - began serious guitar study with world class professional players. I was performing at the resorts in upstate New York, playing in coffee houses, college concerts, and park concerts all around New York City, as well as private functions and socials in summer camp. I was a studio guitarist and began doing professional recording studio work in Manhattan at the age of 16 for most of the major record labels. I worked with a few different producers and recorded with dozens of singers and groups for their recordings. After my first year of college I started touring all over Europe, the U.S., Scandinavia, Greece, Israel, Japan, Australia with many top names in Jazz, Blues and Rock. Graduated from Berklee College of Music with a B.A. - Performance degree, with 3 years of Music Ed. Opened my own school - Wolfman's School of Music in a large, modern commercial building in Boston. We served as the first ever prep school for Berklee College of Music. We had a full range of private instruction for guitar, bass, piano, voice, sax, flute, harmonica, drums, and brass instruments. We also had a fully equipped, state of the art 24 track recording studio. We taught recording production/engineering, produced hundreds of bands, singer/songwriters, as well as many award winning tv and radio jingles that had worldwide airplay. We also offer a full Ensemble program with a wide range of musical styles and levels. I've been teaching privately now since 1980.
