FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a police K9 handler for a municipality in Massachusetts. My k9 dog's obedience was outstanding, and people loved to watch him work. At some point, people began to ask me if I could train their dogs to behave as well as Merlin. I found that I really liked working with different people and their dogs, and Alpha Dog was born.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Our most commonly asked for service is basic obedience. Generally, large breed puppies over 16 weeks and small or toy breeds over 24 weeks are ready for a basic obedience class.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
