Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Our technicians and I are extremely knowledgeable about not only the A/V equipment we install, but also the safety and logistical concerns that go with mounting a heavy TV on a wall (especially above a major heat source like a fireplace) and concealing it's wires inside the wall. We always make sure to execute our designs in not only the most aesthetically pleasing, but also the safest, way possible with minimal disruption to the space. It goes without saying that we always make sure to treat your home and your equipment with the utmost care during the installation process, and I will personally walk you through a detailed plan for the install to make sure we're on the same page before we start any work. Infinet applies the same care and personalized touch to its home automation offerings, and our knowledge, training, and qualifications are simply unparalleled. After all, we are the only home control and energy efficiency specialist in Massachusetts with a RadioRA 2 Level 2 Design Certification and a Sivoia QS Full Residential Shade Qualification from Lutron. We also set ourselves apart by training our technicians to integrate our Lutron systems with our home theater systems as well as additional Z-Wave and Zigbee home automation devices (including door locks, garage door controllers, motion sensors, sprinkler control, Philips hue personal wireless lighting, and more), in contrast to most of our competitors who specialize in only one home automation protocol, so we tailor a truly unified and all-inclusive home control solution to your unique needs. Every home is different. You never know what's hiding behind the drywall, and no matter how small or routine a client's project may seem at first glance, it almost always presents us with a unique challenge. I love a challenge, and I love analyzing the problem and coming up with the best solution to tackle it.

TV Mounting

We had just moved into a new home and after a little begging and pleading and negotiating, I convinced my wife it'd be nice to get a new flat screen for the family room to put over the fireplace. Edwin came highly recommended from one of my friends, so I figured I'd give him a call to see if he could help get it mounted. He helped me settle on a 65" LED instead of plasma because of the lighting of the room, and he made sure to work us into his schedule the day the TV came in from Best Buy (I was really anxious to try it out). A few days before the TV arrived he and another guy came over to run the wiring for a recessed outlet behind the TV and ran the HDMI cables through the wall so we could hide our bluray player, PS3, etc in a cabinet in the corner. He needed to make a few holes to run all the wires, but he had his drywall guy patch everything up perfectly and repaint it the next day. This was included in the price. I was really worried at first about how patching and repainting a section of the wall and ceiling would look, but it seriously looked spectacular - you can't tell where the hole was even up close. Then, as scheduled, he showed up the day the TV arrived to get the mount installed and the TV up, and within a few hours he had totally finished the job. He installed the TV about 8 months ago and it's still in the wall despite our two young boys (I wouldn't be surprised if they use the TV as a jungle gym when we're not looking, knowing them haha), so looks like he definitely did something right securing it to the wall. And it of course looks beautiful the way he mounted it and hid the wires. I'm really happy with Edwin's work and I know why my friend recommended him so highly.

Edwin came out to why our wifi was so slow, and explained how our access points needed a wired connection to the main router for us to get the speeds we were supposed to. He ran new ethernet wires from the router to each of the two access points, patched up and repainted the holes he had to make, and got everything setup and programmed for us. We're finally getting the speed we've been paying Comcast for for years, so I'm really happy we called him.

Edwin did a really great job with our home energy efficiency audit. Helped us save literally thousands by finding creative ways to cut our energy usage.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes - I and my team attend as many of Lutron's continuing education courses possible and we receive new certifications in the field all the time. Please contact us for the most up to date list of my and my team's current certifications and training credits.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We're just putting the finishing touches on a palatial, 6,500 square foot residence in Needham we've been working on since February. This house is going to be Infinet's model home for our potential clients to come explore, and so naturally it got "the works." With nine flat screen TVs (and all the customary components - PS3, PS4, Wii U, 7 Apple TVs, 7 FiOS set-top boxes, 5 Blu-ray players, and much more - all connected but hidden away with wiring concealed in the walls and ceilings), four iPad minis mounted in the wall and a full-size iPad in the family room to control all the home's systems, full-home 300Mbps wireless and Gigabit wired internet, digital door locks and garage door controls, roughly 250 Lutron RadioRA 2 devices, 20 Philips hue bulbs and 4 Lifx bulbs, roughly 150 Cree LED lights, roughly 50 motorized shades, and so much more, this house has it all. Between the sheer number of simultaneous home control and home A/V projects we had going at once and the added headache that all the equipment was being retrofitted after the house had been built, this was by far the most daunting project I and my company ever took on. And that's precisely why it's the project we're proudest to have completed, on time and under budget.
