It was such a pleasure to work with John throughout our wedding planning process and ESPECIALLY on the day of our wedding. We would recommend him as one of our top vendors. It is a very close tie in praise between how amazingly good the food was and how professional and prepared his team was. All of the guests enjoyed the meal, which given our last minute changes due to weather, was an amazing improvisation by John to get all of the food out timely and everything was delicious. Picking our menu and doing our tasting was one of the best parts of the planning process and John made it so easy. He had excellent suggestions and was willing to talk through all of our priorities and wants for our day. The final result was a beautifully presented meal that everyone raved about. His team worked so hard the day of our wedding, but multiple guests commented on the positivity and joy they brought to the venue. Everyone was smiling and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Once we found J&L Catering, it was hard to find a better value for our money for the extent of the services John and his team provided. We would recommend him to anyone in the future for any catering needs.

I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.

I've worked many different jobs with Brooke. She became one of my favorites to work with on the first job we worked together at the Boston Public Library. In an industry that is very stressful, has tight timelines, and no room for error it's great to work with someone like her. She was able to direct myself and my crew efficiently, clearly explaining where and how she wanted the equipment set up. She maintains focus and keeps a level head at every event I've worked with her. I've seen her communicate and coordinate several different vendors which isn't easy the day of a wedding or private event. I always look forward to the opportunity to work with Brooke because she takes out the normal stress and aggravation with the job. I work in event rentals and have never had a problem I couldn't work out with Brooke!

Working with Pearl and team was amazing. From the first meeting with her I knew she was the perfect partner. And that she was. Kelly did the day of coordination for my wedding, and all the pre-work to prepare for the day. She helped find additional staff, suggest vendors, and essentially anything I asked of her. Kelly was truly amazing and saved my wedding in so many ways! From the moment I hired Kelly, she gave me peace of mind and assurance that everything will be perfect. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into making a wedding, Kelly was right there with me along the way. As somebody who has orchestrated many events, she gave thoughtful suggestions to ensure my event was planned perfectly. She was always in contact, answered all my emails promptly, and calmed every worry and question I had prior to my wedding. She went over my plan and wishes in great detail to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted everything. The day of she was a wedding saver. I got everything I planned executed as requested and the event ran without any issues (at least none I was award of), Kelly did that great of a job. I spent my wedding day dancing, enjoying the wedding I dreamed of, and visiting my family and friends, while Kelly worked extremely hard to ensure everything went as planned. She did an outstanding job and my wedding day was beyond my expectations. Heather was outstanding! My best friend had used her services at her wedding and Heather did such a great job that I knew I just had to have her for my wedding reception! Heather spoke to all my vendors and made sure everything I needed was taken care of for the big day. My biggest fear was the set-up of favor bags, placement cards, guestbook, etc. because I needed my caterers to set-up other aspects of our wedding. Heather put all my fears to rest! I highly recommend hiring Heather Chaput as your wedding day of coordinator. Your wedding day will be just perfect!

Trudi was very helpful in planning my mother's 93rd birthday party. She looked into restaurants and private rooms for our event and then found us the perfect place with a fantastic jazz trio who played music of my mum's era and more. Trudi recommended the florist, the birthday cake bakery and offered many helpful ideas to make the evening wonderful. The food and service at the restaurant Trudi recommended were great. I'm so glad I found Trudi. She made my mother's birthday fun, unique and memorable. Everything went smoothly and my mum is still talking about her lovely birthday party!

We hired Adam/Advanced Production and Design for design/decorating/lighting for our daughter's outdoor tent wedding. I wanted a stately, high end look that was affordable. I presented pictures with my wish list and was looking for direction that would accomplish the look I was going for. Adam's professionalism and experience was apparent from our first correspondence. He guided me towards a design that was absolutely perfect for the look that I wanted to achieve. After receiving the proposal and deciding on the final design I had a 100% confidence that I had the right production company. The look was exactly what I wanted and more. I had a truly wonderful experience with DeGeorge Signature Events. I am not a creative person and although I knew I wanted my wedding day to be unbelievable, I had no idea how to make that happen or where to start. After a few minutes into meeting Salvatore, I felt at ease knowing he would put together the most magical wedding for my husband and I. I worked with Janie for my wedding. She was so attentive not just to me and my husband but to the whole wedding party!! From picking up last minute things for my honeymoon, organizing our rehearsal to dealing with the venue manager ~ she honestly took every worry away for me!     Five stars is selling Theresa short- we’d need about nine stars to truly convey what she did for us. Hiring her was the Single Best Decision we made about anything having to do with our wedding. What makes Theresa a nine-star event planner goes far beyond being great at her job, but it bears mentioning that her skills as a planner are fantastic. She helped us make a plan we liked, kept us on schedule, and it cost exactly what she said it would. But she went above and beyond the planning to become our ally, counselor and forceful advocate in an unfamiliar process. Our typical conversation went like this: Me: I am worried about [thing that I thought was a problem]. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of three ways to fix the problem] Me: I think that [overpriced wedding thing] costs too much. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of two cheaper options, plus one way to avoid the expense altogether]. Me: Can you send me [thing we won’t need to worry about for three months] Theresa: Don’t worry. I will send it to you when you need to take care of it. …and so on. She was always calm, and she was always reassuring- and she was always right. We owe her a huge debt of gratitude for a smooth and wonderful wedding day.

      If you are looking for a kind, hardworking, wildly organized, perfectionist with great ideas and someone who will turn your dreams into reality, then you have come to the right place! Devyn of Emerald Events is all of that and more. From the very first day I reached out to Devyn she was nothing short of poised and professional. Initially I planned to only utilize Emerald Events’ Day of Services, however, after my planning got well underway I realized there was no way I could pull off the perfect day without more of Devyn's assistance. Without hesitation she stepped up to the plate, organizing a vendor by vendor budget, full wedding weekend itinerary and also began reaching out to each of my vendors by email, phone and written letters (on professional letterhead to boot)! I was working with a budget and let Devyn know that from the start. She was very willing to work within my budget and even found vendors, such as a videographer, I never believed I would be able to afford. My particular venue was merely a piece of land, so as you can expect with a blank slate it can be fun, but a bit overwhelming. I provided every ounce of detail down to the forks! I am a perfectionist myself and had a vision of my wedding for years and I will admit I was afraid I would never be able to have someone else pull off what I thought was only in my head, but boy was I wrong. Devyn captured every last detail and then some. We met numerous times all of which she came prepared and organized. Being busy and at times disorganized I was constantly sending Devyn one off emails with items that would pop into my mind, but never did she seem the slightest bit bothered and always promptly responded. A month prior to my wedding she even went as far as scheduling time to come over to my house to look at all of the small details, label each and put together last minute details. But above all else, my wedding weekend was where she truly shined. My wedding was on Cape Cod in the middle of an extremely hot August. Devyn and her assistant came down for the entire weekend to make sure everything moved smoothly and according to plan. Both presented themselves professionally dressed and accessorized with iPads! When they first arrived they came by the house we had rented to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly, but at the same time were sure to never be a bother. They helped with everything from tip distribution, to helping collect last minute items my family and friends had forgot in the craziness of the weekend. On the day of my wedding it was 96 degrees and extremely humid and Devyn and her assistant still never missed a single beat. Numerous people, still 2 months later, have come to me to complement their professionalism and all around amazing work. Although this review may be lengthy, I know I am forgetting so many more details Emerald Events did to make sure my wedding was one for the books. Last but not least, not only is Emerald Events all around the best Cape Cod and Newport have to offer, they are affordable and will provide you with electronic billing!! The best decision you can make is to hire Emerald Events as your wedding planner!! You will never regret this decision!!       • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
      • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
      • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer.
