Alley has been working with my children in my home for over 5 years. Alley teaches them both piano and my daughter also takes voice lessons with her. Alley is professional and punctual as well as a good communicator when our schedules have to be changed. My kids have progressed steadily in piano and they enjoy Alley's relaxed, fun style of teaching. Alley works to relate to my children's learning styles and keeps them interested. I highly recommend her!Apr 10, 2018
I am an adult who had been away from singing for a long while. My lessons with Alley have given me much more confidence and improved my technique. Alley is thoughtful and patient and always thorough in her explanations of music. She has a seemingly never-ending supply of suggestions for shaping a phrase, hitting a difficult note, or varying the pronunciation of a word for a better sound. I look forward to my lessons every week, and am also enjoying my choir practice much more as I can use the skills that Alley has taught me. I would highly recommend Alley as a teacher to anyone interested in voice!Sep 19, 2019
Alley is an excellent piano teacher! She is talented, engaging, patient and fun-loving. She understands children and seems to genuinely enjoy her time with my son. He is 9 years old and since beginning to work with Alley he looks forward to his piano lessons. It is wonderful to see his sense of accomplishment as his piano playing improves over time. We highly recommend Alley!Sep 15, 2017
Alley has been teaching the piano to two of my sons for a few years and it has been a real success; she finds interesting and modern pieces for them to learn that appeal to their age and which keeps them motivated and interested; she manages to make the experience fun whilst progressing them.Sep 15, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Since I travel to people homes my fees depend on how far of a distance I have to travel. Generally speaking my fees are $50 for a half hour, $75 for 45 min and $90 for an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My goal is always first to find out what inspires the student. This can be music or any kind of art, movies, television, even video games. This helps me guide the lessons so that I know I am developing a creative atmosphere. My main goal with music is always to help a student enjoy self-expression.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music. I also studied piano since I was 5 and continued through college.
