I wanted a fun night for myself and two of my closest friends. This was a gift for them, and I know they won't forget it. Sarah was so careful to make sure the event was customized to our liking. Everything was perfect. The wine pairings were excellent and food astounding. My group was running a little late, but that didn't stop Sarah from filling our time with valuable tips and tricks. If you want a personal experience in a comfortable setting, this is perfect! I've looked into and have seen other "cooking classes" and none of them offer the value Sarah does. I would absolutely recommend the Home Chef of NH!
Where to start...from our first contact to the seeing the kitchen totally clean after cooking the most fabulous food and serving at our party of 100 or intimate dinner for 14-it was all perfection. I can't wait for the next event-my only fear-Renee will become so sought after that she may be busy.....I know to book way in advance!
I surprised my husband with a cooking class for his birthday. We made it a family activity with the two of us and our 2 children. Claudia is very personable. She was very good with teaching adults and children simultaneously. She taught about different herbs, knife skills and other tid bits! We made delicious shrimp scampi and my husband and children loved it! Claudia is great!!
Chef arrived early to set up his tools of the trade and presented guests with a delicious charcuterie board. Out in-home cooking class was great fun and introduced techniques and flavors for all!
I took two cooking classes with Ana. For someone like me, who feels as comfortable in the kitchen as in outer space, my experience with Ana was eye-opening. She teaches with patience, care, and attention to detail. Her good humor helped me relax through the preparation of a three-course dinner... Twice!! I feel more confident in my kitchen, and now I dare to experiment with more than scrambled eggs. Thank you, Ana!

I work in the Cultural department of the French Cultural Center in Boston and Aurélie has partnered with us for one of our family events, the Fete des Rois, held on January 9th. Aurelie has done an outstanding job by preparing 100% home made and from scratch, eight gorgeous galettes. They were delicious and '' even better than in France'' some attendees said. I have only worked with Aurelie for one time but I know that I would definitely contact her again for other events related to French food. or French cooking classes. She is also very friendly and sweet and it is a great pleasure to partner with her.
My two boys have taken cooking classes from Tanya the Homestyle Gourmet for years. They love her classes, camps and workshops. My 13 year old will often make cookies on his own in the evenings AND HE CLEANS UP AFTER HIMSELF! My 11 year old makes a variety of different guacamoles on his own and they both are interested in helping with meals and meal planning.
Serge is an extremely talented cook. He puts his heart and soul into the process, that seems so easy when he does it but so difficult to replicate! The end result: amazing dishes, so flavorful, tasty. Unusual combination of ingredients, interesting preparations! He also puts a great emphasis on cooking healthy, which is extremely important for most of us! Serge is not only a great cook, but also a very patient teacher, he enjoys the teaching and enjoys cooking for everyone.
I highly recommend Don. He is very effective at creatively combining different flavors and cooking styles that always work well together.
Brian has come into my classroom three times to make Mac and Cheese for my students. The first time he came in I was concerned about how could he keep the students focused and interested in his cooking. He was excellent. He attended class wearing his chef jacket and brought his knives. Once Brian had started to prepare the mac and cheese, he took time to explain to the students the 5 main sauces. He continually fielded questions from the students. The questions ranged from "What is the strangest food you have ever prepared?" to "How much do you make?" Brian was able to keep their interest especially when he showed them how he chopped food. He showed the students the various knives that he uses when preparing food. Brian finished his presentation by serving the students a generous helping of Mac and Cheese. On his last visit, Brian was challenged to prepare his dish without using gluten. Brian was able to do this and still provide a delicious meal. Brian is a very knowledgeable chef. He has an easy going personality that makes your experience enjoyable. The pride he shows in his craft is inspiring.
Gary Mongero worked for us from November of 2014 to October, 2015 as a private chef, doing all of our grocery shopping and most of our cooking for lunches and dinners during the work week. Gary is a very personable, fun, eager to assist, and easy to get along with sort of person. We enjoyed working with him, and often found his suggestions on what foods to prepare, or how to prepare them, to be valuable. His skills in sourcing ingredients are superb: he was very good at finding excellent quality foods at reasonable prices, and kept in close contact with the butchers and fishmongers at our local grocery store, so that he knew what would be coming soon, and what the best current offerings were. He was very reliable at communicating about his work schedule - we were never left wondering where he was or when hed get here; and hed be sure to give us plenty of notice when planning absences and vacations. The meals Gary prepared for guests made him nearly legendary among our circles of friends and co-workers. When hearing that Gary would be preparing a meal for them, we consistently got a very happy smile from those in the know. We really like Gary, and are grateful for the year he was with us. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
Deb's replies were and continue to be quick and comprhensive. We have had one cooking class so far and have gained so much knowledge from her.
