Excellent teacher! "I've been taking piano lessons with Bulent for over 2 months now and he's been fantastic! He really teaches how to play with a lot of feel for the music and helps hone your intuition for how a piece should sound. He's very precise and is great at identifying areas for you to develop skills on, or what things to practice etc."
For some reason I can't give him 5 stars. I am shy about my playing violin although I played as a child. He realized right away that although I can play by ear, I am very lacking in theory which I need to improvise. He explains things kindly without making me feel like a fool, and his lessons have been invalualbe
My twins have been taking Ms Julie's voice lessons for a nearly two years now and they have made a lot of progress !
Very flexible and understanding. Unfortunately, I had outside commitments that left my schedule a bit crazy and unpredictable, and Jessica always accommodate me ... However, I have yet to squeeze in a lesson, but I would highly recommend Jessica on professionalism alone, she's super sweet, excited about people's goals, and was willing to take on my idea for voice lessons, even though they were a little different (for public speaking).
Ms. Testa has been teaching my 14 year old daughter, Madeline, for the last year now and she loves it! I have seen so much improvement in her voice and confidence both on and off the stage. Ms. Testa is always a patient, yet firm teacher who comes up with creative and fun ways to instruct Madeline in theory, vocal improvisation, and musical expression. Madeline always enjoys going to her lessons and is even more excited to show what she has learned to our relatives. Ms. Testa has even spent extra time with Madeline before auditions for school and community theater (for no extra cost to us). She truly cares about her students and that is why she is such an excellent music teacher. I highly recommend her to everyone in her area!
I am currently taking guitar lessons with Jeanne and she is fantastic! She makes learning easy and fun. I would recommend her to anyone who is just beginning or who is experienced and wants to perfect their skill.
John, is fantastic at helping those with little to no musical experience, navigate, understand and apply principles that were previously outside of my comprehension. His positivity and enthusiasm in each lesson enables me to remain motivated and want to learn more. I’ve taken lessons from individuals in the past and his commitment and practical application far exceeds those I have learned from previously
My daughter has been taking vocal lessons with Aliana for 4 years. She teaches her technique, performance skills and helps her prepare for auditions. Aliana is patient and supportive. She is a professional and loves what she does.
Cristina has been teaching our two daughters (now 10 and 11) for the last three years. We feel blessed to have found her 3 years ago through Berklee school of music. She is a gifted singer, and prepares weekly lesson plans for our daughters. She focuses on music theory, does vocal warm-ups and has helped them tremendously with their performance skills. She puts her heart and soul into everything she does and cares not just about the girls progress in singing but about them as a whole, their confidence and well-being. However, not only is Cristina, an amazing teacher and vocalist, but she is a role model to our girls and has become part of our family. We feel so fortunate to have found Cristina. Anyone looking for singing lessons would be lucky to have Cristina.
Jeff is great! A consummate professional, he knows his craft and is a relevant, working artist in his field. I have attended two lessons with him and he has come up with great exercises, great ideas on how to get me where I want to be, vocally, and he puts the work in on his end to make sure each lesson is fruitful and meaningful.
Emily has been helping with singing. First with breath support as I did not have a clear feel for what I should be doing. She has a lot of tools for helping one learn a technique; to help you feel it. If one doesn't work, try another. This is very important since you can't just tell someone how to sing; at least not me. As we continue with lessons, Emily is very aware of things that I do that are not benefitial to singing and works to correct them. Not so easy since I'm on the older side and have many ingrained bad habits.
I have taken voice lessons in the past with other very skilled instructors, but they were unable to help me get over certain hurdles. Lenae's technique has helped me to conquer many of my anxieties and difficulties related to singing. She has a very relaxed style and gives her lessons in a comfortable setting. I began taking lessons with Lenae in early October 2014, and I've noticed vast improvements in my technique in that short amount of time. I plan to continue working with Lenae for a long time to come!
She is the best! I am a cardiologist at Boston and our lessons during my lunch breaks are my sessions of meditation. The questionnaire (5 questions) that she gave me after our first meeting was brilliant. She understands me perfectly and she creates the greatest repertoire for me. After 6 months, I can say that we worked on anatomy, breathing techniques, singing quality, expanding my range, learning my voice and discovering my true voice with my favorite songs. Her professionalism put music to another level for me. I am having small gigs and enjoying being on stage!
I am very happy to make a recommendation of Stanley Wilson as a voice teacher. My daughter has been taking weekly lessons with Stanley for over 3 years. Stanley has been an excellent teacher to her. She started from 7th grade when she really loved singing but was too shy to sing. But with coaching, and many practices, rehearsals and recitals, she developed her voice and strong confidence within one semester. Now she sings often, which is what she loves to do and I love to hear. As Stanley's student, she participates in events of A Worcester Schubertiad, a chamber music organization that Stanley leads, which is great for her. I too have been taking lessons with Stanley for over a year. Class time is distributed between techniques and practicing an actual piece. I am learning many techniques that help me improving and enjoying my singing. I like to think that my voice has developed substantially over the year. Stanley's students range from professional singers, to choir members, to recreational singers like myself, from middle school to retirement. While he is an accomplished vocal artist in classical singing and opera, he helps develop vocal techniques for students in diverse singing genres. Because Stanley is flexible in his approach, a new student should feel comfortable starting with him. What should also help is that Stanley is punctual and very professional in managing his teaching schedule. As importantly, his studio is located in an excellent location in Worcester where parking is never an issue. I have benefitted from and enjoyed my learning experience, and I highly recommend Stanley as a vocal teacher.
David has been teaching me guitar for a little over a month now. I have already seen great advances in my technique, rhythm, and understanding of music. I have been playing guitar for 9 years off and on, and I have never had professional lessons. I can say that after a month with David, I am playing better than I ever have and believe that my guitar playing skills will continue to progress rapidly with David's help. His teaching technique is very casual and fun, almost conversational, and his insights are spot on. He is exactly what I hoped for in an instructor when I started looking at guitar lessons and I would highly recommend him for anyone who loves guitar, regardless of their skill level. He is a 'must hire' professional!
What a great treasure the Drummers' Studio is for musicians in the area! Kris is extremely helpful and responsive. My new piano teacher is super supportive of an adult interested in taking up lessons after 30 years away from it. Such an all-around positive experience!
I decided to take up the violin again after last having touched one over forty years ago. I have been taking violin lessons with Haley for over six months. She quickly helped me get back some sense of the instrument. She has been patiently taking me through scales, rhythm, tempo, sight reading , and in addition has exposed me to the basics of music theory. I have found her to be welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, yet also professional. We go through scale drills, are making our way through basic Hal Leonard books, and even do a little jamming on some rock ballads that she has downloaded for us to play along with. I haven't been practicing as much as I could or should, but Haley is cool with it. It's all been a challenge for me, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. When I progress to a higher level of playing ability, I am certain her high level of violin musicianship and teaching skill will be greatly helpful in allowing me to reach my musical goals. I would highly recommend Haley as a violin teacher for aspiring musicians of all skill levels.
My girls took lessons from Simona in piano and "kankles" for 2 years. Simona is a patient teacher who makes the lessons fun for the kids.
From my daughter's first lesson, she knew Danielle was the one for her. The growth in her skills and voice control have been incredible.
My son took beginner piano lessons from Fiona last year. He is a very sensitive boy and was nervous about learning an instrument for the first time, but Fiona put him at ease right away. She has a sweet and earnest teaching style, and explains new concepts in a way that's welcoming and easy to understand. I know her willingness to teach him whatever music he wanted to learn went a long way towards keeping his attention on the piano and away from the iPad. We always looked forward to our lessons with her!
Stephanie is very welcoming and comfortable. She is very encouraging and helpful when it comes to tips and tricks to help you improve and become more confident. She customizes her lesson to fit to your voice and how to better improve it. In my experience Stephanie has helped me be more open and comfortable with my voice. She has helped me reach new goals and be more confident using a broader vocal range.
