At this point I do not know the outcome of the tutoring ... though I can tell you that I am very pleased with my daughters level of engagement with the process. She works with her tutor, Friday and Sunday evenings, she is enthusiastically involved with all sessions.

My son is a 15 year old in Honors Algebra II at Worcester Academy. He never had much trouble with math in the past, but this class was challenging him and his grades were slipping. Oliver really helped him to fill in the missing parts of his understanding and to feel more confident. My son really liked Oliver's approach and enjoyed his tutoring sessions, and his grades improved significantly. Oliver is very easy to work with as a parent-- he is responsive to calls and messages, understanding about schedule changes, and is very generous with his time-- we scheduled for an hour, but Oliver often stayed longer when he was really engaged in his teaching. I would definitely hire Oliver again for my kids.

We have had an excellent tutoring experience. The tutor really connected with my child and was able to focus on the help he really needed. It greatly increased his confidence going into the test.

Lee really is a good teacher. I am able to write this in English because, among other reasons, she was very patient, didactic and fun while I was learning English with her. I really recommend her.

Marcie was my drama teacher for my Senior year of high school. Although I didn't experience her as an English/Literature teacher, I could tell from the reading and writing assignments in the drama class that she would excel at teaching those subjects. In my experience of her as my drama teacher, she would always find new and engaging ways of teaching. I recall group exercises in which we were challenged to write and act a scene in front of the class and also provide constructive feedback to the other groups. I also recall exercises that were designed to encourage "outside of the box" thinking. Of these exercises my favorites were the various improv games and the section dealing with "Method Acting". Marcie is not only an excellent educator, but also someone you can confide in. She truly cares about her students and doesn't treat teaching as "just a job."

Anthony was my private in-home SAT tutor while I attended Westwood High School. He was an enormous help not only preparing me for my testing, but helping me write my college essay. He even helped me select the school that was the best fit for me! Great experience all around, two thumbs up!

Tolu was a great college essay writing tutor. Tolu helped me formulate organized, well written college entrance essays. Instead of writing for me, like most of my former tutors, she helped me figure out what I wanted to say, then instructed me on how to organize my thoughts into a coherent piece. I would recommend Tolu to anyone!

Linda has tutored two of my sons over the last five years. My older son was able to improve his SAT scores as well as perfect his college application essay. He got into his first college choice. My younger son had problems expressing himself in writing and started working with Linda in 8th grade. Later he studied with Linda for ACT and got into his first college choice. Overall I was impressed with Linda's professionalism, great energy and great rapport with kids. They loved studying with her. In addition I could always rely on Linda being up to date on latest changes in SAT/ACT tests, which was tremendously helpful last year. We all feel very fortunate to have Linda as our ' Language Coach'.

Both my children had Marya as their preK teacher and they absolutely thrived academically and social-emotionally under her care and teaching. Through a whole child, inquiry based and thematic approach, Marya was able to ignite my children's love for learning, particularly in reading and writing. My children are early readers and writers thanks to Marya's creativity and sensitivity in guiding them to notice patterns and come to their own understanding about the world that they live in. Because of Marya, they take pride in their writing and have a very positive view of reading as a way to learn and as a skill they gain the more they do. My children also loved Marya's systematic and multi-sensory approach to practice and acquire decoding, sounding out, and spelling skills in an intimate and personalized way. She understands and respects each child's temperament and guides them with purposeful differentiation according to each learner's needs. I highly recommend Marya and can't say enough good things about her as a teacher, tutor, and mentor. Yen, mother of 2 avid, enthusiastic readers who are reading above their age level thanks to Marya, and a toddler who can't read but loves books thanks to his siblings' great example.

Beth "joined" our family six weeks and has been a blessing in disguise. Each week she meets with our son and challenges him to get out of his comfort zone and to further expand on his reading comprehension and writing skills. While challenging Alex, she has also helped him to develop a confidence in his work and helped give him the tools to succeed. If you are looking for someone to help your son/daughter further develop their skills over the summer or throughout the school year, I would highly recommend Beth.

Hi, I'm a Counseling Psychology student at Boston College. My dissertation topic is "International mobility and well-being: Moderating roles of gender ideology and skin color." I am in desperate need for help in realistic goal setting and in execution. I need to finish my dissertation this academic year, but have been feeling stuck for a while. Where things current stand are: I have data (I'm using an archived data set) and preliminary data analysis done (cleaning, variables of interest, preliminary regressions). I need to somehow get past the obstacles in writing Chapters 1-3 (half way done) so that I can propose in the fall, write up results and discussion, and defend (hopefully) by June/July. As I am in my full-time clinical psychology internship, I feel that I may need a coach (e.g. more than a consultant) to guide me through the day-to-day and hold me accountable! Thank you!
