FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Usually I charge by the hour, $15.00 per hour plus supplies. This is negotiable and in unique to whatever project I am considering.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My method of keeping up on my type of work includes a lot of browsing and looking at hardware stores, Container store and other places that provide solutions that I can use directly or incorporate into my own unique solutions.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After learning carpentry at home, helping design sets in various theaters, I saw where the two vocations could be intertwined. Theater design uses many shortcuts and unique means to accomplish the final results. I liked working for myself and in 2003 I started babysitting a girl who is now 14, and picked up other customers for work ranging from organizing, shopping, driving, pet sitting, and small carpentry jobs.
