Introduction: Dr. Chris is the author of How to Improve at Fitness and Beat the Competition: Sport and Exercise Science for Athletes in Search of Excellence. He has appeared on NECN, the Boston Globe, Runner’s World Magazine, and other media outlets. Chris is a medical services officer in the Army National Guard and completed his doctorate in 2018. He is also a firefighter. Before opening his current gym, Chris was a head collegiate strength and conditioning coordinator and running coach and started his coaching career at Harvard University. Excellence is my passion. “Always improve” is not just my motto but the way I live my life and provide the services of my craft. I enjoy the small things in my work, a child calling to say thank you because her father can join her on a run, a husband who smiles when he sees his wife in a dress again, and a businesswoman with the confidence to own a stage. I like that Chris always pushes me, goes the extra mile (literally and figuratively), is constantly improving himself/his knowledge so he can improve others, and keeps workouts light and fun with lots of laughter in between challenges. I'd recommend Chris to anyone at any level. He's adaptable and loves a challenge!

Under Chris’s supervision I have gone from 343lbs to around 280 at the time of this review. I had chronic back issues, no energy and Chris has totally changed my life, he uses simple equipment to make you sweat. After a few months I have felt much better. Set a goal to hike the length of Vermont this summer and I know Chris will have me ready. He really cares about the people he trains and it shows. I would highly recommend Chris to my friends (and have).
