I used Thumbtack and got 5 responses to my request to have an interior chimney removed. Future of Construction was one of 3 who came to my home and made a bid. His bid was reasonable and his approach was friendly and responsive.
He came exactly when he said he would for the bid and to start the project. He responded quickly to emailed questions.
He worked alone on the chimney removal. He set up for the work carefully and thoughtfully. He was prepared to protect other items in the room and in the house from the dust generated. His patch work on the ceiling opening was well done. The chimney was removed down to the floor without damage to surrounding pipes. The cleanup was thorough.
Adam did an outstanding job on my chimney removal project.

We hired Adam to remodel our kitchen and also build a new deck, and his work quality and efficiency far surpassed our expectations. Not only did Adam complete the project on time, he also managed to stay within budget, which was a daunting task considering the extent of our projects and our tight deadline. We are both first time home buyers and have no experience with a fixer upper house, but Adam easily won my trust when he gave me a quote and provided me with his action plan to deliver within my timeline. Adam was the only contractor out of the 6 others I called to give detailed breakdown of the costs. He also listened attentively to what I wanted. He really took the time and effort to understand what we expected from him and went above and beyond to make our visions become realities. I wouldn't have my dream kitchen without Adam's help. What I had was just a picture and a vague vision in my mind, but Adam guided me through the design process and executed with perfection! I had multiple projects going on at the time and he coordinated all of them so seamlessly, I was able to move into our new house and have a functional kitchen, something I didn't even think was possible. Adam and his crew always cleaned really well after their work, even my neighbors were impressed with the kind of care Adam had given to our property and needless to say, I've given my highest recommendation to Adam and pass along his contact to all my neighbors and friends.
What I appreciate the most about Adam is his honesty, a rare trait to find in contractors I've dealt with. Adam delivers what he promises and he doesn't cut corners in his work. I just hope all the raving reviews wont get him too booked up for my future projects!

Being the son of a general contractor myself, I immediately recognized that Adam is one of those people who you can confidently hand a project over to. When Adam came by our house to give us an estimate on the job, I recognized right away that he really knew his craft and he was the right person for the job.
And for someone who is a worrier and a control freak, it felt nice to be anxiety and stress free, knowing the job was being handled by someone I trusted even more than myself.
At the end, I am glad to say, the quality of work done in our kitchen exceeded our expectations.
