Introduction: ROI Guitar Studio is committed to its success by committing to the success of its students. Learning to play the guitar is an investment, and we aim to get the students as much return on that investment as possible, and as quickly as possible. It is incredibly satisfying to knock down hurdles in the paths of our students. Those "lightbulb" moments where the student suddenly "gets it" is so motivating. To the student, as well as to us.

My husband went for an initial meeting with Matt and he loved him. He got a lot of information from this first meeting and very helpful tips to help him play guitar better. I would definitely recommend Matt.

Matt is a wonderful teacher and person. He sincerely wants to help people reach their potential and goals for learning guitar. Not only does he spend the time to get to know your background and areas for improvement, but he also caters to your particular style (blues, folk, classical, metal) and is flexible schedule-wise. I completely recommend Matt as a teacher. I have tried many instructors before and none have come close to Matt's patience and willingness to adjust his explanation style to fit your needs.

Great guy, knows his stuff and will tailor his lessons to you. He recommended lowering the action on my guitar, after I got it done, it was much easier to play. I highly recommend him.

Joined ROI Guitar Studio couple weeks back and it has been a great experience so far. Matt is very knowledgable and he explains things very well. I have been playing guitar for couple years now but i'm at a point where I think that I have plateaued myself and cannot take myself to the next level without professional guidance. I'm confident that Matt can help me here in giving my skills a boost so I could achieve my long term goals..

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

All prospective students are given a free lesson. This helps students to evaluate their teacher and make a decision whether they'd like to proceed. Likewise, it gives us great insight into what the student's experience is, their wants and needs, and what goals they would like to achieve.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a member of an international program of guitar teachers, we not only study the guitar ourselves, but have an amazing community of guitar teachers who communicate constantly, and get together annually to discuss teaching methods and find ways to deliver the maximum value possible to each and every student.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet with as many guitar instructors as you can, and develop a feel for how they teach, and how much value you can extract from studying under them. Make sure the instructor you choose is also a student themselves. It's not enough for an instructor to decide that they know it all, or know enough that they can just teach it. The process of learning and improving and mastering any materials and techniques needs to continue forever. It's very important that an instructor can relate to the student who is struggling with that process. It's not enough to say, "I used to struggle, too." Learning is an on-going process that you should _never_ complete. In fact, it should be a process you enjoy.
