My daughter was only 5 when we started lessons and I was worried that she would not take to learning French but Delia has been patient and great with her. We've only been working with Delia for a few months but I can see a long and productive partnership in our future. Highly recommended!

Laurence King is, in my experience, one of the most intelligent and vital people I have had the privilege to meet - and from whom to learn. I am studying French in order to learn to speak and to read and to absorb as much as possible of the culture as is embodied in the language. Laurence has been, in private lessons with me successively: a patient listener and instructor when I could hardly utter two French words in succession; a willing collaborator in my search for the spirit on the French language; a very sympathetic coach in my reading of the literature - Camus, for example; and a ready and willing interpreter in my almost constant search for the subtler meanings of what I read in the French press - exchanges between us that go on from time-to-time by email. Laurence's fearsome "stylo-rouge" is ever ready to set me straight - whether it is in clearing up contextual misunderstandings or simple grammatical matters. I am always refreshed at her grasp of things and her sense of humor in letting-me-down easily when corrections are in order. I am always rewarded in asking Laurence's help. James Armstrong

Carolyne is such a great tutor. A good way of knowing whether someone is a great teacher is when they know how to continue lessons and keep it going even during the unexpected. I didn't tell Carolyne my level of French but she was able to find a way to continue our lesson right away and I was really impressed. Also, I absolutely love positive reinforcement and she was great at that, it was nice to receive feedback from her. She's sweet and very friendly, I highly recommend her! Merci beaucoup Carolyne!!

To Whom it may Concern, Anna has a very good experience. She was born in Russia and has a very good backing in the Russian language and the English language. In the 1990's she helped me through the translation of my work in Russian. Along the same lines, she helped translate the Russian documents that I retrieved from the KGB archives. I did all of the leg work of visiting the sites, archives, and locations in Russia (over 22 times) in which I visited locations that my relative was sent to in Russia in the 1920's. I had guides and interpreters in Russia to assist me. I have the desire to learn the language (Russian). It is a hard language. Anna has guided me through many lessons. I can read and translate a lot of the work in the lessons. I reviewed many document from the Archives in America, Russia, Finland. I met with additional people in Russia to uncover the story of my relative. I have met Anna's father and mother several times in Moscow. I met many other Russians and as they became familiar with my effort, they noted that I had been to more places in Russia then most Russians. Interesting, I was honored with a "Honorable Professor" certificate from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Section of Military History , culture and law for my work in 1999. they noted that I was the only American to receive the honor and only 47 Russians had received. I enjoyed talking with young children. They want to learn English, and I wanted to learn Russian. In one time, I was asked to talk to a class. Questions where directed to me and from me to the class. I did need an interpreter at the time. I could go on forever about my experiences. But, Anna would have me tell stories at the beginning of every class. I she would help me, correct me, and go on. Every class produced many new words. I had trouble remembering everything. But, little by little, I developed my Russian skills. I am still receiving lessons from Anna. I will admit that this is more about me then Anna. But, Anna is an excellent teacher of the Russian language (and French, Spanish, and Hebrew). She has been there In teaching me the language, the culture, and the many things about Russia. Sincerely, Edward M. Some of us might do it like all of us but the main is to know who does the best job or who gets the best techniques in teaching?

    About

I lived and studied in Paris and Grenoble, France. I have a Master's degree in French from Middlebury College. I studied under French professors in these French cities and I lived with French families. I taught French language in private schools and I tutored also. France is a very beautiful country with a mild Mediterranean climate. It is wise to learn the language to some degree before you travel there because French are proud of their language and they like to be addressed in their own language.

    About

I work as a Regulatory Affairs professional, but I also do tutoring. I am a French native, and French is my primary language. I attended all my classes in French from kindergarten to high school. All subjects were taught by French teachers, and all study materials were in French. In addition to being fluent in speaking and understanding French, I am also very proficient in French grammar, French literature, and writing. As a Regulatory Affairs professional, some of my duties involve translating documents from French to English and vice versa. My tutoring experience started as far back as high school. I was just helping a friend who was failing physics. To my surprise, she learned it so well that she ended up passing the course with a B. I was happy for her and proud of myself. Needless to say, I became a peer tutor when I started college. I obtained a certification for tutoring from Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) where I majored in Chemistry and Biology. I graduated with honors (3.5/4.0) with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I also obtained a minor in French Language and Literature (4.0/4.0). 1990-1994 - I worked at ENMU as a Tutor for French, Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra. I was also a French Teacher’s Assistant and French Substitute Teacher. I tutored all level of French courses as well as grading homework and exams. As substitute teacher, I also taught all French courses as needed. 1994-1995 - I was a Night School Teacher at Wayne Community College for returning high school students. I taught science to students ranging from 18 to 50 years of age. 2001-2002 - I worked for StudySmart as a Tutor for the following subjects: SAT/PSAT Prep, Biology, Chemistry and French. I received great reviews from the students and their parents about my tutoring style and approach. My students found my teaching style "fun." I was also told that I was not "rigid" as the other tutors they worked with and that my personality (I am a people person, very lively and full of energy) made them feel comfortable working with me. In 2002, I went back to school and obtained a Master of Science degree from Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with a 3.7/4.0, and in 2009, I graduated from nursing school. In my spare time, I write French poetry. I plan to publish them in the very near future. I am a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who is also a people person. My years of experience, my teaching style and my personality the fact that French make me suitable to be a Tutor for any organization.

I am a full professor of Spanish and French, with 34+ years in the university classroom. --I ONLY WORK WITH INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED LEVELS OF SPEAKING AND WRITING (no beginners). -- PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME FOR BEGINNING LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION. --I PREFER INDIVIDUALS ENROLLED IN UNIVERSITY OR LANGUAGE COURSES. I am especially good at facilitating structured conversation with a grammatical base, so that there is a context upon which to build language skills. --MINIMUM TIME IS ONE HOUR LESSON--NOT 45 MINUTES. MY RATES REFLECT MY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. FEWER SESSIONS THAN ONCE A WEEK WILL NOT PRODUCE RESULTS. IDEALLY THEY SHOULD RUN FOR TWO HOURS IN ORDER TO PROGRESS. LANGUAGE IS NOT LEARNED BY OSMOSIS! LEARNING A LANGUAGE IS HARD HARD WORK.
