Jeff Watson and associates did a good job enlarging our deck. It was well built, contracted materials were used and he kept to the contracted budget. Although we gave Jeff the flexibility to work on his time schedule, he often delayed each part of the project and finished the project well after our expected end date. He needed to be called, emailed and/or texted often just to keep the project going. Initially he made a mistake with the size but made good on his promise and reworked the frame to meet the contracted size. There were various excuses to delay the project. Hi guys, I clearly discussed the fact that I was extremely busy and would try very hard to complete the deck in October,I did keep in constant contact with you regarding progress and problems, the deck was completed about a week late, not unreasonable considering the circumstances, as you know material was delivered to the wrong address by the lumberyard, also the decking was not in stock and had to be ordered and that caused some delay, weather was also a factor. I appreciate the positive factors in your review.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Experience and having a solid base of knowledge results in fair pricing without any surprise cost's, some jobs are very simple others are not, i am often sought out to do really "funky" unconventional projects that others will not do, that gives me great deal of satisfaction when i can help a customer that way.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Meet with my customer, find out what the needs and wants are, develop a plan and price, revise that as many times as needed to ensure the work is what the customer expects.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Recent 10 hour CSL course, attending trade shows each year, generally take part in manufacturer sponsored local shows I also constantly talk to and meet with suppliers and peers.
