Introduction: I have been training dogs for 25 years,including teaching dog training groups of all levels for 18 years. Gratefuldog earned Top 5 Ranking in 2014, 2015 and 2016 for the Boston A List. Gratefuldog has also earned Thumbtacks rewards for 2015 and 2016. Typical dog training session are priced hourly, my service is a set fee, sessions are 2 hour or 1.5 hours, and I do not charge when sessions run over the specified time. I follow up, as well as send out written materiel relating to clients specific needs. I am passionate about training dogs. Helping dogs and their families is a true joy!

Elaine is a great dog trainer! She really understands dogs' behavior and how to deal with them. She did an excellent job showing us how to deal with him and gave us so much great general info on raising a dog, which we really need as first time dog owners.

Thanks to Elaine, trainer extraordinaire!, people are amazed by how well behaved our 7-month old GSPointer puppy is. In addition to giving practical advice before his arrival, Elaine has been training Gus (and us!) on a regular basis at a variety of locations. I have been impressed by both her professionalism - she is responsive, on-time, experienced and knowledgeable - and her practical approach which helps make having a dog compatible with daily living. Elaine clearly loves her work and has developed a special relationship with our puppy who can't wait to spend time her. Like I said, trainer extraordinaire!

We are very lucky to have found Elaine to help us with our 8 month old black lab mix Maisy. She spent quality time with us working on jumping, biting, and leash pulling. We can already see some improvement after only 2 days! She was flexible with our schedule and her price was just right! We would definitely recommend Elaine to others.

Elaine arrived for our first training visit to find a shy, timid puppy who was afraid to walk on a leash. Week 1' mission accomplished! Bentley now walks happily on his leash like he's been doing it forever. We started working on command training today. Elaine not only works with Bentley but teaches us how to teach him. She is wonderful with both of us! I am looking forward to continuing to work with Elaine.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee is 175.00 for a 2 hour starter evaluation/training session. Future sessions run 1.5 hours and my fee is 150.00 per session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After reviewing a customers needs, we scheduling a session and get to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I apprenticed for 6 years prior to teaching on my own. My apprenticeship included sitting in and assisting with hundreds of group training classes of all levels.
