Walker Jenkins Music, Guitar and Music Lessons

Introduction: I began my study of guitar in 2002, learning from a jazz guitarist who's established in the local music scene. My musical training continued through college when, in 2008, I began studying music at Northeastern University, majoring in music with a concentration in history and analysis. While at Northeastern, I took guitar lessons from faculty and performed in the University's Jazz Choir as well as its blues rock ensemble. Simultaneously, I gained experience in teaching guitar, working at a music and youth initiative music clubhouse. At the music clubhouse, I acted as a mentor and guitar teacher to the under-served youth.
