Sara did excellent work for me on a biography I am competing Her skills aren't merely formal. She has an excellent eye for style and economy as well. Beyond this, she is prompt and wonderfully cooperative. I highly recommend her.Aug 29, 2013Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I charge $40 an hour and $35 an hour for full-time students. For clients who request an estimate, I edit three to five pages to determine how long it will take me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a doctorate in philosophy and have published a book, short-listed for the Canadian Philosophical Association Book Prize. My writing skills enable me to improve the style of the manuscripts I edit. I've also taken proofreading and copyediting courses at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
- What types of customers have you worked with? Many of my clients have been graduate students and academics; some have been nonnative speakers. I'm experienced and line editing and developmental editing dissertations and published journal articles and books in the humanities, social sciences, and education. I've also provided these services to first time authors of novels and memoirs. In addition to editing academic work, fiction, and nonfiction, I've helped many students write essays of application for admission to graduate programs. In addition to my work with individual authors, I've edited books for Princeton University Press and Trilingual Press.
