FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to keep my prices fair for the type of job, skill level required, degree of difficulty, hazard, extra laborer and material cost. I may want $25 plus and hr to do a roof, repair chimneys or work in a basement/attic crawlpace or such but definately not for yard cleanups, interior paint, drywall or most landscape jobs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up learning to do home repair, maintenance and landscape from my grandfather who was an construction engineer in the army and raised on farm in maine where you had no choice but to fix and repair everything yourself..i worked in an office for years but never felt a real sense of accomplishment-so I started doing small projects for some investment property owners, moved on to larger projects and then onto to total rehabs and everything that entails
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Alot of pre sale "curb appeal"makeovers, both inside and out,,landscaping, trim paint, touch up repairs and outside"staging"if you will to make that property stand out from the all the others of similar comp on the market to increase sale potential without a large price drop.. In other words" $1,000 will save you $10,000"
